What is NSU
Nightstalker’s Universe Mod has been in the works for 7 years, the mod itself has gone though many incarnations including being rewritten several times. The concept of NSU is to give SciFi junkies what they are looking for. There are several sections of the mod dedicated to different SciFi Shows such as, BSG, Star Trek, Babylon 5, Firefly, and Star Wars. There are several sections of the mod that come from different ideas I have come up with and each system is uniquely different with custom suns, starspheres, and a few planets. The Mod has a lot to offer for a wide range of players. At the start you are given 5 choices though the use of one way jump holes (one in ST, SW, B5, Nightstalker Space, Terran Alliance Space). There are also 4 unique Factions in the mod, including Rogue Asteroids, Comets, Derelicts (Moving wrecks), and monsters (They hurt too).

How do you get a hold of the mod??

I’ll be uploading a shed load of ships and stuff from darkstar one pretty soon, they’re loaded with emissive textures so could look pretty cool in your dark old universe.

DS1 is a great game… but highly flawed when it comes to modding I still play it… would love to use those puppy’s… some great looking ships in that game… especially the darkstar itself. You know me mate, I don’t put restrictions on anything, they’ll be available for anyone to use so you’re more than welcome to use them.
Having trouble 3d ripping the Ds1 itself though, when extracting the mesh it comes in the 10-10-10 configuration which I then can’t export from 3ds max because it has a rediculous amount of faces with all the components combined.
If I can’t figure it out (I’m no modeller), then I might have to upload its mesh and textures and let someone else see if they can take it to pieces.
