New in v1.50:

added Display option Clean
Removes the HUD and cursor, helpful for videos;
added Display option Lighting
Turns off lighting effects, making everything bright;
added Miscellaneous option Inverse mouse
Moving the mouse up will move the ship down;
wait longer for the decryption process.

Regarding the mouse invert, would it be possible to get ships of type CAPITAL, CAPITOL and TRANSPORT to behave just like normal ships?

After changing the Eagle to CAPITAL, wow, that is just weird. Here’s a quick hex edit to add the FREIGHTER type to TRANSPORT and CAPITAL. Don’t know if freighter will always override capital/transport, but at least the controls work.

Alright it works very well but I have found one drawback: when an NPC uses one of these two now, the icon in the contact list will be a freighter icon instead of a transport/capital icon. Can this be changed or is it a problem we must accept if we want to use that hack?

It tests freighter before the other two, so try with fighter instead.

Is there any possibility of mapping a key to toggle the “follow waypoints”? As it is, with that option enabled it is difficult to do anything other than follow waypoints.

Possibly. You could just target something else, since it will only follow waypoints if nothing is targetted. I stopped using that option after creating Hypercruise, bypassing the intermediate waypoints altogether. No help for MP, though.

Version 1.52 is available. It adds the patches for Inverse mouse, and makes Clean/Lighting/Inverse mouse work on start.

Version 1.53 is available. It takes armor into account when displaying hull health and displays the shield health for solars (trade lane rings). Fixes the conflict with MultiIntro (MultiIntro will override Hack when starting FL).

I’ve been waiting for the website to come back up, but it doesn’t seem like it intends to anytime soon.

So I took to searching all over google for this file, let’s just say nobody uploaded it anywhere, and even using various search perimeters I had no dice. Eventually I found a torrent that had it bundled with other files, but it was dead on seeds.

I was running out of hope.

I tried a random search only vaguely relating to FLHack, and what do you know I actually pulled up the file directly from the creator himself!

I also took the liberty of uploading it, I hope you all enjoy it, it’s made revisiting singleplayer quite nice for me.

It seems that this version is older and doesn’t work with mods. Whenever I try to run a mod with this it says “Different Version of Freelancer”

It seems that this version is only compatible with version 1.1
