HOW??? How do you rendering such this??????
-
It is not by rendering or materials, Nova.
It is by making a detailed model, with pipework and many precision-made body parts.
Then you can use even flat one-colour paints and you can still get fantastic appearance.
But - you will need “the patience of a Camel” to do work in so much painful detail.
When the ship passes you at 2,000 m/sec you won’t see it, so these are works of love! lol

Details?

There’re about ~3k, maximum ~4k polys. It is light and shadow job, man. Info 100%. So i just want to know which lights, effects, maps or rendering presets to use.

Thought you meant model detail. The light/shadow is not going to show in the game.

Nova, PM me, i’ll give you my contact details, i’m the author of those two FT-TOW renders. I’ll show you how to set up good clay renders.
@StarTrader - It’s still nice how to know how to set up pretty renders for art purposes.

GMax has no rendering facility.

cinema 4d and maya have also quite advanced rendering capabilities. at least lightwave (i’d expect maya to have one, too, though it might be somewhat too luxurious for our needs) has a separate program for rendering only… maybe efficient as you can save all the models separately and use only the ones you need in each scene you want to animate whether for a frame image only or a whole video.
