You know ST, lately your posts consist of insults and harassment.
You are wrong, read more carefully. Some dry humour yes.
When I am annoyed everyone knows about it.

Then you have the nerve to hop on the bandwagon at every opportunity to belittle anyone with less experience who asks for help.
Wrong again. I have given a lot of help and continue to do so.

All those type of posts do is serve to alienate potential community members and discourage those newer souls just getting excited about modding.
Of course - but in this case DVDMan is no a newer soul, he also has a habit and as before, again asked several times too many having been given the info and had not tried himself.
I like to help new people, have done so for years, and expect them to try what they are told and come back for help, not continue to whinge for everything without trying.
I will continue to do that.
And anyway, DVDMan knows me well, I don’t think he has a problem with me pushing him (or others) now and then to do it himself and let us know the result?
Guess it’s also your turn to have a grumpy day.

… ST seems to like the public display factor, so I’ll just toss this out and step away.
Wrong again.
I have contributed enough to this community to have gained the space to speak my mind.
The utilities that I have pushed for to be fixed have never been for myself alone.
The times I got abusive are very few, and limited. Sometimes for foolish requests, and once for broken promises.
I am not alone, the majority who feel the same have kept silent.

You could be a little less blunt, though, ST, and nothing of value would be lost.

AMAZING!!! adoxa.

Just run off with his carrots when he’s not looking, that’ll really piss him off!

Yes most definitely - very nice work as usual, adoxa!

It is natural that phrases like “pull your finger out of your bum” might be misunderstood by non-native English speakers.
Mini-Me: This only means “stop buggering about and do something!”.
Anyway - let’s stop buggering up this thread. The intention was to get DVDMan to test the advice he was given. And he did - to some extent!

@Terratec: My understanding is that everyone uses MilkShape (either directly or indirectly) simply because no one has written an importer for any other program. In the far future, I’d be prepared to write one for Blender (since that seems to be the best of the free programs).

Couldn’t get to grips with Blender, seem to have a mind blockage. But I do have 3ds Max… ?

i downloaded lightwave only after i saw why’s FL ace animation and only because of it. lightwave sucks memory like hell and my machine lags when i render an image worthy of mentioning but guess what: i don’t regret it at all. its capabilities are far worth its size and its price coughrussian downloadcough

No chance - certainly not going to buy it and at over 700MB I’m not bothered d/l’ing it. How’s the exporter working out, though?Do you mean 3DS Max to MilkShape? No problem to me, I always get round those types of problems. Both support so many formats it’s not been a problem. I forget which one truncated the group names but that’s not a problem either.

Do you mean 3DS Max to MilkShape? No, I mean the cmp exporter for 3DS Max 9. But looking again, it doesn’t look like it was properly finished. If I have the quota in 6 months when my net runs out, I’ll consider getting it then.
