Question About Comm Windows

Hi guys,

I have a quick question. I am running Windows 7 64bit and the game runs well. The only problem is that whenever the “dynamic comm window” comes up, ie when i hail someone, the game lags like crazy. As soon as the comm window goes away, the game runs smooth. If i disable the comm window in the performance tab, there is no lag. I, of course, want the full freelancer experience though.

I am running ATI Radeon HD 5670m- 1gb GPU, Intel i7 2630QM, 8gb RAM

I’m not really sure it will hurt the experience…
What I’m sure about is that someone will find a solution. Don’t give up!

I’m unaware of this issue. Maybe try to upgrade your video card driver?

I’m not sure this is the problem, since Freelancer is a pretty old game, but its worth a try!

out of date drivers, even on new cards, can cause problems.

So youre saying that if my video card’s drive is old, it can cause problems with games? Never happened to me before…

it might ofc. have to do something with the dfm’s themselves or voices or the text settings.

Still having the issue with the comm windows… is there a known issue with windows 7 and or the radeon 6570m graphics card i have? I really need help with this problem. Thanks in advance
