Why dont you post news?
-
I submitted a news 3 or 4 times now, but I got a blanko page everytime. Has it still come through to you?
-
Here it is.
Maybe because of the text body? -707 characters?
This would fit with OP’s reports because I know he tends to write “large news”…?
-
I tried again meanwhile, now I am getting this error:
text/html
Fatal error: Call to undefined function mime_content_type() in /webspace/web/starport/www/modules/news/class/class.newsstory.php on line 1360 -
Seems to have worked
-
Done.
The webinterface is also aviable in English or should be at least soon.
-
May I ask where my news is lying around?
No offense intended, I am just not able to use other English words at this moment, sry for that.
-
Try to post it again as nothing comes up in my screen to approve
-
-
Yep, it is

A couple of quick questions - I may be missing something again - but then I’d question the visibility.
Is there any way (thinking TLR.com mainly) of putting the categories for news up near the top in one area? In other words, you get greeted by Site news, further down the page it’s Server, then Mod.
The way people used to see news was “latest” admittedly, but unless you scroll (or I’m missing something) you don’t necessarily see there are different types until you scroll…
I mean currently it’s 1 news post, then links to previous of type. The next news post type, followed by links to older news of type…
Talking about a way to see all different news types available at the top. Click on a type header can just be a normal # link to the news section or whatever, but lets you know what types of news is available. Rather than scroll down to find a relevant section that may, or may not, exist.
Other thought is about the wiki and Freelancer Mods/Servers entries. I don’t know, as I don’t submit mod news, but does a submission of mod news alert the submitter of the possibility to edit the wiki to add themselves (when it comes to releases or even developments, as quite a number in the wiki are in development/beta).
Just thoughts

Nah, the classic way is bugged and I dont really feel like fixing it right now. Maybe another time.I’ve no idea what the classic system is If it wasn’t just a line with five links saying “Server Site Mod …” then it isn’t what I was thinking
I like the layout as it is (incase you thought I didn’t) - just you have to scroll to the bottom to see there’s a community news and tools topics.
