Changing the menu key

Hello. I just recently got Freelancer on my computer. a few of the keys on my keyboard do not work (recently), though this is an issue I’ve solved by remapping the keys for videogames. However, the menu key for this game is f1 which doesn’t work on my keyboard…and it appears that I can not change it in the controls menu (it is greyed out). Does anyone know of a way around this?

Probably, but if you have many keys not working, Goodwill usually has used keyboards for $2.99
