Q: Do I Need to Restore backups to play campaign. -
I guess i don’t know I Haven’t been able to play FL for about Three years. Now due to high blood pressure i have some time on my hands. The first thing i did was get a computer and downlaod the Star Port A-Z through 1-however many. I remember there bieng a Few no story line Mods but the mods have changed and Multiplied so much that i’m unsure.
It seemed to me they used to unzip and just actavate and deactavate i used to change mods all the time. but i don’t remember it creating a folder it seemed that the flmod just sat there in the mods folder
i don’t know if i’ts this computer or me being out of it for so long.
I HAVE BEEN unzipping the FLMODS into the “Mods” folder and then puting the flmod into that folder somtimes they work but if they do it’s usally only once because it tells me it can’t find the … or doesn’t exist There are usually many different colorfull ways for it to tell me i Screwwed up hard.
How do i do it Right? on a W-7 64
I Installed FL on
drive and also installed FLMM in the same using Administrater to open FLMM But there was no way to do that for FL only choice was open with media.
The only thing I’m really sure of is that i’m going through freelancer withdrawls and the only cure is success. -
first of all i know with experience with dealing with vista. change the user account control settings to never notify that will free up alot of problems. second download win rar http://www.rarlabs.com/download.htm get that from here some mods are zipped up a in a rar file . i do it for protection of the file. practically any mod can be played in open single player

is that in control panel control panel is so much diff than my old win ex 64

Ok I couldn’t find where to chang settings
I downloaded winrarx64-41b1.
I downloaded other shows as New_folder. it seems it wants to install.Where or what catagorie,folder,drive Ect should i put it to open up.
In short where should it call home before i let it do it’s magic.
Q: did i get the right DownLoads. -
all you do for the new folder is right click it you will see it will say extract to new folder thats all you do. go go to control panel, user accounts, click on user accounts on the bottom user account control settings. a pop up screen will come up slide the switch to never notify.

Ok COOL The computer default has it on catagories I had to change to icon to find it i have to restart to apply settings
it will be a beautifull thing not having that thing slap me in the head every time i try to open somthing.
after restart i will try other

Q: OK DO I just Create a folder called Open SP and place it in the “mods” Folder With the DLLs,M13 and load Mod Manager?

its a safe file you can always trust me . i have been in this community a long time. the exec file lets you play freelancer with out the disc and the latest hardwhare update is in there too. -
So if i under stand right
I could as an example put those to folders into say friendly univers or Gundame missles if they (Gundam missles) where compatable with
openSP And actavate Gundame misslesI would have an openSP game with gundam missles
If i understand can you have multiple mods combined.

i haven’t tried it yet but i actavated it.
now i just gotta figure out why i got flmm loaded in two places
i had one in my library uninstalled it put it on the
drive With my freelancer installand it reapeared in my library
Q:can i uninstall the one in the library and delete?
Your open sp showes up in both C:drive and library

Just in case you need the tutorial - that said I recommend FLMM 1.31 not 1.4.

SO COOL!!! It actavated played deactavaded put saves properly
And without the DISK WOW. Now i dont have to worry about the next time i put my disk in being the last time SO COOL. The thing is old but well taking care of But You just enhanced it’s life expectancy GREATLY.SWEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEET.
