Feel like a bit of a challenge?
About a decade after the Nomads threatened the colonies, things seem to have settled down for a while.
Some new trade lanes have been built; commerce continues, and people live their lives unmarked by major hostility.
At least, in the Four Houses.
Out in the Edge Worlds and the Border Worlds, the Zoners must guard their neutrality jealously even as Corsairs and Outcasts make their own plans - plans that have no Zoners in them.
You start out in this world - friendly only to the Zoners. The Bounty Hunters don’t quite have the shoot-on-sight order out for you yet, but they’re definitely side-eyeing you these days. The other factions aren’t actively hostile, but they’re not friendly either.
The Corsairs and Outcasts will be a problem; survive by your wits and skill in combat, and maybe you can make a name for yourself when you start out on Freeport 9 with two million credits to your name.
MOD TECHNICAL NOTE: Based heavily on Argh’s XML Toolkit 1.2 + SDK 1.5b. Please see README_FIRST.txt for notes on who deserves credit for this mod. The MegaUpload URL is currently the only place to get the mod. FLMM 1.31 will work; do not be alarmed if it seems to ‘freeze’ during mod installation; IGx89 notes that this is a known issue with the program.

The dedicated server is a Pentium Dual Core E6700 with 4 gigs of RAM, running XP SP3 and, of course, Freelancer Server with Ioncross.
Server IP: 24.80.116.44 if the global server is not working.

Make sure the global server workaround is working on both the server and client machines. Then give it several hours to a day for the server to update the list.

EDIT: And I modified freelancer.ini per the fllistserver guidelines, and that’s included into the mod.
The ZonerVerse 1.91 is now out
The biggest change you will notice is that I have changed the faction empathies to correspond to my ‘future’ timeline in which the Corsairs and Outcasts have reasons to believe that Zoners are more of a hindrance than a help, so now attacking Corsairs and/or Outcasts will make you more popular with Zoners and vice versa.
So now life gets a little more complicated in the 'verse.

Have any of you wondered what’s in this “XML Toolkit” based mod?
Well, for starters, battleship and cruiser encounters! Like to be a bit of a risk taker? Travel through the House systems with a bad rep and try to avoid these folks!
Maybe you’d like to buy the once popular CSV? Get it at a Junker base! Of course, you might need to get a rep hack first… but that’s the good part about being a Zoner. Any Zoner base might just have the right person to talk to.
… Or perhaps the H-Fuel Express for moving large volumes of precious H-Fuel! Keep the economy of the colonies moving with your trading.
But it’s kinda expensive…
But then again, wait till you see the battleship prices!
Or you might like to see a selection of other ships - the Heavy Lifter, Light Hauler, Silver Streak, Enforcer, and many more besides (the Gaians have a Treefrog!)…
And finally, a battle scene in Hamburg for your pleasure. Pictures can’t do this mod justice when you see ten ships shooting streams of energy at each other in battles.
I haven’t touched on the weapons and shields, but rest assured dodging Corsairs isn’t easy in Omicron Theta!
Finally, as a present for all comers, every person who signs up and lets me know will get a free Thruster upgrade, because the Zoners don’t sell the good ones… yet.

I’d also like to just let people know I’ve added FLShell to the server for this mod in order for people to use /restart templates to start out on any of the Freeports the Zoners have.
I’d also like to encourage people to join the ZV forum as well.
