The Freelancer Icon

This is something that I need to change for my mod. I just need to know what to edit to change Freelancer’s icon from the vanilla helmet to my custom icon. Thx for any help you can offer.

You need ResHack.

• open Freelancer.exe with Reshack
• Action -> Replace Icon

And now you can use your custom icon.

Well I’ve followed your instructions to the letter but the icon still hasn’t changed. I don’t know if it’s reshack or if I’m doing something. Any ideas would be fantastic. Thx!

You need your new icon first, of course and load it up into your alternate exe file. It may very well be, that your desktop shortcuts do not change instantly, but I’ll just assume you know how to update them and fix the bug.
