Nope, works fine on Win 8.
I had to deactivate IPv6 after the first connect tho (got some error messages).
I like how you can mount your guns at the hardpoint you want:

Guns aren’t rotating. gun.fllistserver.com is working for the beta server too btw

Not from the Beta, but I ported St02b into regular Vanilla and tested the difficulty with a Vanilla Anubis + Equipment. Wasn’t challenging at all. Also there are supposed to be texture animations and rotating fans, but I couldn’t get the latter to work.

EDIT: Also, checking the Nomad Elite’s cmp reveals that the rear spikes have an animation.

Random missions dont seem to be implemented, also no station news. Notice how there is a local channel and console channel selector in the chat window.
Auto turrets seem not to be working, I think this is just the “normal” turret view we already have.Some cool profiling display, activate with Alt+F:

One of the F buttons also brings up another display, might’ve been F6.

Spent a pleasant couple of hours working on the Nomad Elite, it actually looks like the Nomad ship Icon in the contact list!
Attached a copy of the working model if anyone wants to play with it, I hacked a no_fighter sur to go with it. Very much a WIP, no wires and only basic Hardpoints. An interesting thing I have noticed is that the ship SURs do not have shield bubbles or weapon/shield/thruster hitboxes

I might try restoring the animation on that Nomad Elite. I found animation nodes in the cmp, it seems the spikes are supposed to fold. Edit: Then again, not likely to be seen.
On another note, I noticed that the Bering gate was locked, I assume all gates out of Liberty are locked. Looking at the files however it seems the rest of Sirius exists in the Beta, deleting the locked gate entries would be useful in seeing if there’s any deleted content outside of Liberty (I’m looking at you, folding-winged Valkyrie!)

-Hitting an object in cruise disrupts engines.
-F7 brings up Audio Viewer.
-Hostile NPCs (Rogues in the Badlands, at least) simply run in a straight line until ~730M before turning and opening up. Staying behind them means they just fly in a line.
-Ships visible flying past from the bar, including cruisers.
-Crazy speeds achievable through EK and thrust.
-Turning neutral NPCs hostile doesn’t affect new spawns, they will spawn neutral even with other NPCs of the same faction hostile. I think attacking NPCs turns all the ones currently in the vicinity hostile, though. -

Yep. Malta looks better and reminds about cardamine
Edit: tried to run singleplayer(?) scripts from data\ScenarioSaves\ dropping them into exe folder with fl files - no luck.
So intresting what command line parameters has freelancer.exe
