Glad you like it guys
It’s shown on the page I linked, but here’s the direct image too

I’m working now on the uv-unwrapping so I might also have a texture for it in the next couple of days, that way should be easier for you guys to use it, if you have any such plans

Here it is:
You can easily edit the decals or stripes of paint, or remove them entirely.

Bloody hell that was quick! Top job Sol, looks wicked, would be well at home in that new homeworld ship breakers game.

Can’t wait for “Shipbreakers” to come out as I’ve been missing the Homeworld games for a while now.

Hey guys.
I really suck when it comes to figuring out how a texture should look on a specific model so I was wondering if someone might have some time to help me out with a quick drawing for a basic paint scheme on some of my ships as I’d like to texture some of those that I left at a “wip” status.I’m not sure with which ship should I start so I leave that up to you. If there’s a model you’d like to use from those on my server, go ahead an paint over its preview image and I’ll see if I can make a texture based on your sketch.
As I said, the paint scheme should be something really basic, for example I’d love something like the texture on the MCCV-2 ship, simple paint stripes with a few decals here and there. You can choose the new colors as I think yellow should be just for mining/repair ships.

Last one is cool and compact

Heheheh…
Sol, you never cease to amaze me!
Still watching you from time to time.
Excellent - but I think your other half must hate you?
-
Cheers guys hands a cold beer to each person in the topic
Haha, well StarTrader, the reason why I have the time to make so many models lately is because that other half you’re talking about has moved to another solar system so it’s all me and myself right now :))Speaking of, I’d like your input on this model I’m working, a mobile shipyard. It’s supposed (in my twisted universe) to be able to move around and jump from system to system like a normal ship would and it can build other smaller ships or various space objects. From my point of view the ship is pretty much done as it is but still, if you guys can think of some other modules I can add to it to make it look more industrial or more fitting for the task at hand please let me know and I’ll see if I can integrate your ideas in the design.

Thanks.

well Sol, good job as usual. Nice looking model.
one thing i would do, is to add some type of clamps on the top to hold ships or other space objects in place while they are being constructed/repaired so that the object does not ‘float’ away.
other than that, i like it

Great suggestion J. !
I added 2 large arms on the sides of the ship to act as clamps and they look great -
Just thinking aloud here…
When I see models in drab military colours like camouflage, I wonder whether if in future there will be any military at all, since they have no money and corporations are taking over the space exploration role now.
So how would a cruiser in Branston colours look, taking a hint from his space flight vehicle? Any texturers ready for a laugh and a few hours of fantasy?
-
… and from there, given that tourism and flaunting of wealth are in order, the space stations may well be more civilian follies than blocks of functional dwellings. How about a station with suites of space penthouses with huge view panels, and bubble mansions?
Just prompting those with the skills!
