IDS? Problems

I had Freelancer since 2009, and only recently (in the past 4 years) has it shown, in the Rebalance mod, that the IDS for new items not originally in the game are showing up as “IDS?” instead, with no description. I don’t know what I’m selling or buying, nor what weapons or radars, or even shield upgrades I’m picking up after destroying a space station or a band of rogue pirates. Anyone know why this might be, and is there a fix for it? I normally only load up the Mod, but not the Character editor. Gonna try installing the Unofficial 1.4 patch, and reloading the mod.
