How to export/import texts for translation?
-
Visit my site and you’ll find a link to my (JFLP English) resources, which itself has a link to its compiler (unless you change the [c].rc[/c] files you won’t need a resource compiler or linker). The FRC encoding is either ANSI (Windows system codepage) or UTF-16; I could update it to support UTF-8 if you prefer.

Thanks a lot for the reply. Meanwhile, I managed to find a majority of texts in resources files. I successfully translated some through Resource Hacker tool. Just can not find materials description anywhere. Where I can find them?
Also, do you know if there are any subtitles for the game? I am going to make a translated voiceovers and text would be appreciated (it is easier to translate. Sometimes I do not understand clearly, mainly in space communication). By the way edit the voiceovers is million times easier than edit texts in game.
Thank you for provided link. I appreciate it.

Nothing official, but there is a subtitle project. Only the first few missions are done, though.

Hi,
I mean the commodities like boron etc. Every commodity has a brief description and I did not find that in the dll files.
Thank you for the subtitle project link.
Also I am searching fot the first arrival at Manhattan movie with injured Lonnigan and medics to make a voiceover. I did not find the voiceover in the DATA/AUDIO/DIALOGUE folder. It must be elsewhere.

[c]InfoCards.dll[/c] (from HTML resource 348; from line 3096 in [c]InfoCards.frc[/c]; bugger, I just noticed the typo).

[c]DATA\AUDIO\MIXES\mix_s002xe.wav[/c].
