I’m looking for some people out of the community who do not mind doing a few things for me to do with Biocross that are non-coding related - below they are broken up into categories so you can pick your strength:
Artists/Graphical Design Work
- I need an Icon for Biocross atm it’s just a crappy globe - I would really like a cross icon (much like Ioncross) but representing the cross in the splash screen image (attached)
Literary Work

In my FLForge page there is a readme that I would like converted into a .doc format with images and a suitable layout (and probably a lot of spelling corrections too :P)

I need my Google Code WIKI maintaining over at http://code.google.com/p/biocross/ - I would like sections explaining the XML format how you would modify it by hand and any other things that explain how to use the program and how it works…
Web Hosters/Designers

If I manage to get some space I would need a clean but modern web-page designing as I am absolutely useless at these kind of things…
FL Modding Experts
- In the future Biosoft intends to create an IDE for the FL modder - like Visual Studio it should be a front-end to help make coding so easy you can do it by clicking a few buttons… My problem is I know little about INI files what I would need first is a detailed list on how objects are added into the game for example Systems, Bases, Factions, Weapons - an example for each such as to add a base you add this line into the ini file, then this line into another ini file…

I would like to help u with my FL modding knowledge, but i know there are better modders out there than me.

It’s not about being a better modder, just about being able to mod really - any advice you can give on adding any object into the game would be helpful for example when adding market goods to a base or something what ini files need editing and what categories are there etc.

Well i can help u with most things i know how to create the archtypes and how to link them to bases/systems/factions etc.
The only thing I don’t know but learning rightnow is creating mission for custom factions, but i guess when i get some time after christmas i will fast get behind that. -
When the Biosoft site gets up and running there will be a space on the forum for you FL Modders to part your wisdom - just think of it like this I’m making something for you as a modding community - you get to pick the features you want so there will be syntax highlighting - so what syntax needs to be highlighted and what are the recommended colours? I have no idea but you will
There will be an intellisense feature so what things need to be remembered…? For example when you type IDS = it will give you a list of IDS numbers AND the name of the object that corresponds to the IDS…
all these things I will need to know about if we are to be successful in the Freelancer IDE

I uploaded a .rar file containing icons, WARNING: they’re aren’t so pretty I made them in paint. Thats what you can get from my knowledge of digital imaging. I feel sorry for myself.
Just cut-outed the cross. It ain’t so bad at all. (For paint)
P.S: It’s called Biocross Icons and it should be in the misc. downloads. When admin approves it offcourse.
