Trying to make cloaks buyable ingame

As sson as i find the file, i upload it again.
4 now:
– you need w0dk4’s cloak dll
Trying to get tradable cloaks 4 all players without that, will most probably get you nothing.
– get M0th4’s latest FlHook version (with the 88Flak mod) cause cloaking time and such is set via FlHook.ini
– my solution was to have the cloaks without a good entry, so they can’t be transfered
(and i would recommend this, as long as you are not going to give all ships the possibility of cloaking) -
we were gonna give ships the possibility of cloaking, even see servers like plasmafire have mounts for them, and im not changin the FLhook version im using, i customized mine to work better with our server… also we want the cloaks to last a while, you to be able to cruise in cloaks, and them not be disrupted by bumping, but disrupted by shield failure,

just a quick Q to clarify this…
Im running m0tah’s 1.6.4 hook for reference ;D
So i have the cloaks… and they work on a ship that is cloak loaded in the package…
but in SP… yeah… invisible… lol… so thats led me to want to have them “mountable”… or
more exact… un-mountable and or Upgradeable to better cloakI will be giving every ship the ability to cloak.
So… how would i make these babys buyable? I’ve made a goods entry… but still having issues getting it all to show and mount nicely… unless i attach it to the ship to start with… and that’s my “undesired” approach
sorry to “necropost”… but there still is no defined answer to this… and now im curious as well…

… ok … no solution - but a little expirence and thoughts about:
- tried to get the cloaks to use energy - no success
- tried to mount those cloaks to other hardpoints (especially shield / cm) - no cloaking
(don’t remember exactly, what i tried) - didn’t try to get those cloaks tradable
- WTS got an admin(cheater-type) cloak, which is tradeable
(therefore i d suppose, trading should be no problem, if you add a good,
when i made the cloak stuff)
And I m not telling, that’s not possible - i just didn’t succeed with my attempts
ATM i think, the cloaks are a very strong feature for every ship,
especially, so the weapons will be online, during the cloaking procedure,
meaning the opponent of a well armed ship can be shot down,
before it is fully uncloaked.
Also longer cloaking for traders would make the life of pirats sensless.Therefore imho
– no cloaking for bigger ships or traders
– other features of ships able to cloak should be tuned down
– maximal cloaking time should be limited and it should take some time, before it’s ready again
– balanced cloaking times should meet the other features of the ship (ie strong ship - weak cloak)
– cloaks are in the ship package / no trading with cloaksAnd

Maybe not, but many have adapted to Gamepads and programmable keyboards. Try as you might to discourage it, ::) the hardware allows a macro to open chat and enter /c quickly enough with a button press.
Actually, i want a hot key hook for cloakmod, because fighter pilots can not enter “/cloak” before they die. ;D
