I’ve been adding in the Hellhound but come across this problem

E:\FL\Scratch\Source\Common\PhyArch.cpp(254) : *** ERROR: File(SHIPS\CORSAIR\CO_VHEAVY_FIGHTER\co_vheavy_fighter.sur) Part(308842285) contains unrecognized info type. Aborting.

Clearly a problem with the main sur file, any ideas apart from the obvious?

i experienced similar issues with surs made by the single component sur method. therefore fighters with such have shields but due to components/sur group parts that are simply not read and therefore inexistant it is in final not worth it. the the splice method is currently except for the sur builder the only method to trust in any case.

You may well be right Gisteron. I’m unbelievably crap at doing sur files, only thing that’s saved me has been LS’s sur builder. I’ve gotten rid of the error by creating one sur file for the whole ship, got a nice figure hugging one now but then there are no destructible parts… I may just go with the single sur unles mknote or anyone else has a working one for this ship that allows the destructible parts.

Mind if I download and (if it’s still PantherX’s model without reskin etc) and substitude the models in for the original ones PantherX gave me - therefore having them completed? (never had the custom sur obviously, and don’t remember about wireframes).

That error i mentioned on the Hellhound sur is still there. The bits break off the ship ok but FL server keeps giving me that error
