O'Shanahan's Duty Log

This is my first duty log as a pilot in the LSF. I have acquainted myself with the current regulations in the Liberty Navy and have begun my tour of duty. I am currently equipped with a Ranger Scout Fighter and am currently out in California running operations out of Willard Research Station gathering intelligence on various pirates in the area. The LSF and Night Rangers ran a joint sting operation in California against the Rogues. Several wings of Rogue ships were destroyed and a set of dangerous cloning material was captured during the operation disposed of by the LSF. Will continue with operations in California until further orders are given.

A very busy day today. Started out in California running more sting operations against the Rogues and Outcasts based in the area. Joint operations were undertaken with the 75th Night Rangers and LSF.

Afterwords elements of the 75th Night Rangers and the LSF meet up with Admiral Tim to conduct further operations in New York.

During the operations Admiral Tim captured a Nomad Cultist which was turned over to the LSF for interrogation.

Information extracted from the prisoner revealed a Nomad Cultist had infiltrated Prison Station Mitchell. LSF was able to secure the mole and will attempt to get further information from him.

With information about an impending Nomad attack on the Arizona gathered from the captured prisoners the 75th Night Rangers and LSF forces launched a series of operations against the Nomads.

Another very busy day. Started out normal with operations in California against the Rogues and Outcasts. Later I was called out to Prison Station Mitchell to help with an interrogation. Afterwords I helped LSF Fighter Wings defend the station from Nomad attack. Durning the battle a Nomad Pilot ejected and I was able to recover him.

After meeting up with two pilots from the 75th Night Rangers, Delgado and ADI, we set out with the prisoner to Research Station Willard. Along the way twice Cultist pilots made attempts to free the Nomad, but we defeated their efforts. After the prisoner was dropped off we conducted operations in California before being called out to help defend Alaska from another major Nomad push. We engaged the known Outcast supporter David_Baker but were defeated. He was able to escape the system. We regrouped and the 75th Night Rangers decided to launch a strike against Rheinland Military targets. I went along as an LSF observer in the conflict to gather further intelligence. The strike was successful and all pilots returned home. Another strike was made deep into Kusari by the Night Rangers, during which a Kusari supporter documented the attack and reported it to the Naval Forces. We were able to escape from the raid but suffered heavy damage. After returning to Liberty we found an unauthorized entry into Alaska. I went to purse the Pilot, whose name was Sanek ((I belive that’s how it was spelled…)). He had a Liberty Navy ID and assisted me when I was attacked by several wings of Nomads. Afterwords he turned over a Nomad Cultist Pilot for interrogation and I escorted him out of system with no incident. We launched a raid on Buffalo base after returning to New York but were again defeated by David_Baker. He is a very skilled pilot who should not be taken lightly, approach with extreme caution.

Further operations were undertaken in Alaska against the Nomads before I responded to one of our traders requests for fighter support. I flew cover operations for them for several runs. During this time we were attacked by a known Outcast. The frieghter, Transport_749, was destroyed but the pilot managed to escape. I was able to destroy the Outcast after being supported by a Bounty Hunter.

Afterwords, I helped a 14th Bloodhound Survey team scout out the minerals in Liberty. I helped them in their operations for some time before meeting up with the 75th Night Rangers for another raid in Rheinland. The raid was successful although we did take causalities.

My daily routine. Started out with more intelligence operations in California. I then hooked up with a miner from the 14th Fleet and helped him with mining operations in California. Bagged a couple of pirates here and there but nothing to exciting. Meet up with members of the 1st Fleet and 75th Night Rangers for operations again the pirates. After finishing those operations I hooked up with pilots in the 75th that were launching a raid in Rheinland. Target was the Battleship Westfalen. During the raid, several wings of Cultist ships aided the Rheinland Military defense fighters. This would suggest that Rheinland has a much greater level of infiltration by the Cultists in their government than we had thought. Further information about this will be sought and reported.

'Tis been some time since I last entered in a log. Been very busy, ‘avn’t set aside the time to do so. I have been running my normal operations out in California, tracking down various criminals for the LSF. The Outcasts were tryin’ to set up a base from which to launch assaults against Research Station Willard. I destroyed the base and pursued the remaining Outcasts into the ice field and destroyed 'em.

I logged some time in on my miner with the 14th fleet. I have been bringin’ in Gold from Dublin. Later on I hooked up with members of the 75th Night Rangers and 1st Fleet to run some Naval Training Operations out in New York. An Order pilot also came out and joined in the operations. The training operations went well. Pilots involved were [LN]Bogart, [LN]Pc_Plod, and the Order pilot JC.

I went back to my normal operations after the training run. Things went smoothly until Liberty Command picked up a new contact in New York. A pilot with the Rheinland High Monarchy had breached our defense perimeter and launched an assault into Liberty Space. I meet up with pilots from the 75th Night Rangers and 1st Fleet to engage the enemy. A battle ensued outside of Detroit Munitions.

Got new orders from Liberty Command. I was sent to New York to follow up some reports of increased Liberty Rogue around Planet Manhattan. I shadowed several patrols of Rogue ships until I discovered the location of a new Rogue outpost. I launched an assault on the location and was able to destroy the station along with the ships stationed there.

After destroyin’ the Rogue base I went back to Manhattan for new orders. Liberty Command had reports of Outcasts on long range sensors. I meet up with pilots from the 75th Night Rangers and 1st Night Stalkers Fleet to prepare for a defense of New York. We engaged an Outcast pilot 20k out from Manhattan. (( This was actually a 4-3 fight but I only got screen shots for the last bit of it. Players involved were [LN]Bogart, [LN]Constantine[1st], [LN]O’Shanahan[LSF], [LN]Killie vs [Outcasts]Gabrel, [Outcasts]Massacre, [Outcasts]Berzerker.))

After the Outcasts had been driven off I decided to attempt to gain further intel over the Cultist operations. I meet up with a contact I have in the Order, who asked me to go out to Omicron Minor and assist in an Order operation to take down what they believed to be the source of the Cultist bomb making material. Unfortunately, the Cultists were tipped off as to our plan and moved the material before we could strike. On the way back out to Liberty I was ambushed by Nomads and a large battle ensued as several wings of Order fighters were dispatched to assist me.

Was yet another busy day for me. I was still out in Omicron Minor, helpin’ the Order with operations against the Nomads and the Cultist. Order intelligence picked up work of a large Artifact shipment in their possession. The Order planned a sting op against one of their staging points in Unknown system and asked me to come along. We destroyed the Cultist ships and seized the shipment. The Order handed the Artifact to LSF possession so we could further study them. I flew them back to Willard and left 'em with the scientist there.

After the drop off I was summoned to New York by Naval High Command to report on my activities. I meet with Admiral Tim outside Planet Manhattan and briefed him on LSF activities. Soon after the meetin’ we got reports that West Point Military Academy had picked up Outcast on long range sensors and several Naval patrols had come up missin’. We decided to attempt to retrieve our downed pilots and meet up with a pilot of the 75th Night Rangers, Lieutenant Bogart, to find the wrecks. We were ambushed by Outcasts upon enterin’ the Badlands and began to fight for our lives. Lieutenant Bogart was forced to leave the battle after the first wave for repairs, while Admiral Tim and myself carried on the fight. We were forced to eject.

Admiral Tim left after the battle to attend several high level conferences while I meet up with a member of the 1st Night Stalkers Fleet, Lieutenant Commander Paladin, to fend off several large waves of Cultists that had launched a raid in Liberty. We also battle several more waves of Outcasts fighters, but we were forced to eject. Paladin left to report to another station and I decided to do some further intelligence gatherin’ missions in Rheinland. I went into Hamburg to gather information on the defenses of the system, especially around the Prison Station, for future 75th Night Rangers raid operations. A Rheinland High Monarchy pilot, who I identified as Brigadegeneral Alek Shonbauer, engaged me just outside Vierlande Prison. During the battle I weakened him to a state that Rheinland pirates destroyed him. Notes for future attacks against the base have been made and can be found in a separate file.

Still not one to be call it a night I decided to jump in me ‘ol CSV and help out our miners. I hit various fields in Liberty mining Water, Silver, and Gold. Brought in a good haul before callin’ it a night.
