My latest Mothership WIP, still needs texture but itās my second favorite ship so far (after āMorenaā ) cause its design is like nothing Iāve done before.
-
Actually this ship has 32k polys but itās still low poly for its lvl of detail i think.
-
Iām done with the texture for this one. I really like how it turned out, dark and stuff, the only thing Iām thinking of changing is the texture for the cargo pods, what do u think, should I change it or not ?
-
Nice work as always Sol.
What is the function of those huge flaps at the sides of the front bay?
Cargo pods - well the way they look now reminds me of military.
How about making them more shiny and brighter like commercial airline types? Maybe with a shipper logo?
Virgin Spaceways?
Borderworld Exports?
Universal Shipping?
-
Virgin Spaceways :)))))))))))))))))))))))))))
The game this ship will be used in has a rather dark feeling to it so the ship has to be dark as well, if it was shiny it just wouldnāt fit.
Those things on the sides of the docking bay are solar panels, you just canāt see the texture too well from the distance where I made these renders. -
You seem to do this stuff so fast. Great job on all of them, Sol.

Cheers :pint: :pint:
I made this model today and itās based on an older and basic model of mine named āThe Ghostā.

Again, this is for that game Iām working on.

Would be better if I saw the babylon movie

Hay SolCommand how it going?
I was hoping you would be able to model for me a fighter, iām looking for something to juxtapose the cobra series of your which i will use for and opposing faction, anyway so what iām after is something a little curvy but still aggressive, I like the way the F22 Raptor looks (its a fighter jet) and was hoping you could take a little inspiration from it, but it still needs to look like it belongs in space. Thanks for your time, your work was a great starting point for my mod.
BTW although iām looking just for a fighter at the moment i will probably need an interceptor and bomber version of it too keep the sides equal, thanks again.
Ozed.

Hey man. Although my time is very limited atm if you provide me some pics of what exactly youāre looking for I MIGHT give it a try For example you mentioned an F-22, you should also show me a pic of a spaceship that could be merged with the F-22.
-
Ok, i think iāve got it nutted out in my head, um, so can you sort of use the F 22 Raptor as a basis but if you could try and merge the nose/cockpit diamon thing from this model here and maybe take a little insipation from this model here, it would look great (well weāll see) if you find either of these two insiration models making the whole thing look bad then just scrap them . O but i would like to have some of the forward curving wings from the first. Anyway iāll let your imagination run wild with these.
Just thanking you in advanced since i realise you are quite busy and any time you can donate to this is greatly appreciated
Ozed.

I will look over it.
Meanwhile, Iām working on creating a set of ship hull textures and Iād like to request your assistance on this matter. Iād appreciate it very much if you could link me pics I could use as a guide/refference for -> technical things, pipes, greeble, parts, anything that could be applied as a texture on a space ship.
Hereās just one example of possible things:

Nice work m8, Iām glad someone finally got around to using this ship :pint:

i do btw use your Oltenia v2
you will see it soon once a trailer is done for coming release (though it will not be a view from ingame but the shape is built in as object for cutscenes - i resized it in a way it is not anymore useful as a flyable).
first i wanted to use the first Oltenia but unfortunately i have no idea about UV mapping currentlyā¦ -

if need be, i can repost that here on the starport. im currently adding on a bit explaining how to prepare the cmp correctly if you were to do sur splicing as well etc, but that section might take a bit of time to do, since im constrained for time.

ive never used milkshape for anything apart from importing/exporting and early sur building. nowadays, i use 3ds max for modelling, texturing and hitboxing, and just doing the appropriate exporting/importing via milkshape since the exporters/importers are only for that atm unfortunately.
plus, id personally recommend you getting gmax/metasequia (spelling?)/blender etc for modelling, theyāre much better than milkshape.
