Starport Forge Project Requests

I’m having some trouble accessing my newly-created account. After activating it, I wasn’t able to login (it just said “Invalid user or password” ). I then used the “Lost password” function. After re-entering my password it said “Lastname is invalid”. It seems to have choked on the ↑ character I entered for my last name, and I can’t actually login to fix it. Username is M0tah.
As for new project requests, here’s the list (all of the ones from the old Forge):
Project name : DelayDisplay
Project nickname : DelayDisplay
Description : Adds cooldown timer display in the weapons HUD - weapons with a 1 second or higher refire delay will have the time remaining printed next to the ammunition (or in its place if the weapon does not use ammunition).Project name : MultiIntro

Description : Allows more than three intro screens to be displayed. It will also pick one at random when returning to the intro screen instead of sticking to the one chosen at startup.Project name : MultiCruise

Description : Allows engines to have cruise speeds that are different than the CRUISING_SPEED constant via a cruise_speed entry in [Engine] blocks.I’d also appreciate being added to the FLHook Plugin project so I can re-add my plugins.

I’ve managed to make a bunch of my projects subprojects of another project, e.g. DSAccountManager is a subproject of the UTFEditor.
I don’t want this and can’t figure out how to reverse it. Could a friendly admin please hit the server until they stop being subprojects…many thanks

Thanks for fixing that.
I’ve just checked the “http://forge.the-starport.net/projects/dsam/settings” and it allows me to set the subproject but not remove it as there’s no “no subproject option”.
I expect if I click save settings - even though I haven’t intentionally made this a subproject - I’ll cause the it to become a subproject again.
I can’t see how to avoid this. Am I missing something or is this a setup/permissions/something problem?

And what middle size (in MB) is for mods?

Average size of a typical mod?
Can be anything - ours is about 64MB.
The ship .mat files make it very big if they contain textures in .tga format, each texture may be over 2MB. Converting the textures to .dds format in the .mat files reduces them by a lot, but can cause problems sometimes. And many modders are making hi-res textures too so this adds to the file size.

A DLL based auto-updater that is started automatically when Freelancer is started. It downloads zip based update packages from web servers making it easy to support mirrored servers.

What do you want? If you’re not a dev, you have no need for dev access and all these projects are already on the Forge. Get them there?

It adds systems stations and ships from our favourit SciFi series to the existing FL universe.
It also contains harder KI reworked Vanilla stuff (textures etc.) and customized clan stuff.
There’s alot more stuff but i’m to busy to write it all down now.Greetz
