Starport Forge Project Requests

Oh, so I do.

Project Type: Mod
Project Name: FL10K
Nickname of the project: FL10KDescription:
Adding a bunch of new ships and skins to existing factions, adding a few new factions and altogether ‘extending’ the Vanilla experience of Freelancer.Forge Account Name: Bobthemanofsteel
Is it possible to rename projects later?
Sticking with the working title for development aint too much of a problem I guess, but if the ability is there…Thanks for your time!

You cannot change the short “nickname” but you can change the project name.
Done
If you need SVN support, simply activate the module under settings and wait for at least one hour.
If you want it to be private, uncheck the “public” option. -
Thankyou very much!
There’s no kissing emote so you’re saved.…This time.

Since there already is a FLSES project on the forge (which seems to be dead anyways), I’ve made you manager for this project:
-
After investigating the use of subprojects from Cannon’s posts early in the thread for a side project (mod) of my own, I’ve found it’s actually quite easy to create your own project.
In the first post you mention the software doesn’t approve projects by itself; I don’t know whether this has changed since the time of posting, but the only problem I see with tests is perhaps the repository, which doesn’t appear to work, unless it’s taking longer than an hour.
Sorry if I’m hashing over stuff you already knew, just thought I’d report my findings.
http://forge.the-starport.net/projects/test
Can be deleted, btw.EDIT: Woops, forgot, on the chance that repository creation is done by you guys, may I please have one done for this?
It’s a mod, and there’s a useless description on it if you need it. -
I dont really get your post. As long as you follow the instructions (aka not setting up anything in the repository tab, only activating the repository module in the settings), repositorys are created automatically within an hour.
Also, redmine (at least the version we use) does not support approvable projects, so once you are a project manager, you can create as many projects as you like. However, as noted in the Forge frontpage, keep it reasonable.
I deleted your repository settings. The repository will now be created within one hour.
By setting up the repository yourself, the system assumes that you are using an external repository solution rather than the Starport SVN. -

There’s a module in the latest UTFEditor that does some of that sort of checking now. See the SVN trunk over on the forge.
