Universal Wars Server

Ok people. My server has been down for the better part of this year now and it was up and down last year. I have just purchased a new Asus server and it seems to be very stable right now, offline. It’s been running for 1 week now without fault. It hasn’t run over 69 degrees since it’s been running and that’s good in my book. It’s been extremely hot during the day but, fairly cool at night.

I hope to have a mod running on it or just a 1.0 server going soon until I can get my mod in better running order for beta testing on a server. I will also be looking into a much better ISP for speed and dependability. Maybe a T1 service if, I can afford it. I have permission to run a great mod for some fast action PvP if anyone would be interested in some of that sort of action, just to take a break from other mods for a while or, just to kill to have fun outside of RP for grins and giggles?

The mod is simple Vanilla with many tweaks. Info will be listed once I put it on a server. All credits will be given to the creator as well. No credits for this mod will me for my gain. Only what will be done for the mod I will be working on and all that have helped with it.

I’ve just had 3 systems repaired, (3 left to be fixed, 1 of which is my gamer) 2 of which were hit hard by a heavy storm that swept though this area a few weeks ago that only lasted about 15 minutes and was gone but, left several towns in many counties without power, electricity, gas and water for several days. Needless to say, I lost all foods and much more . Times are hard but, Freelancer calls me to do something with it and I have to get going again. Surfing the forums ain’t doing it for me. I’ve been off and on servers on borrowed machines but, it’s not the same. It’s like, " Mommy, can I play a game now?" That sux big time!

Will keep you informed as much as possible and this will not be in 2 days or months and it may take longer but, I know that we need more Freelancer Servers than what we see, up and running with players on them and not empty.

All is set up and installed and ready to go but for plugging in the power cord. My downfall, is getting the Router to work right as it should.

Funny thing, it’s allowing for WiFi to connect but not a Hardwire connection to the Internet?

I could run it on the net by using my single ISP box but, I don’t want to miss out playing on the server while others do. I would have to play via the server and that’s not what I want.

Looking into it.
