Turret / Gun "autoaim"
-
I tried searching for it but did not find anything related.
I try to understand how Freelancer handles aiming at ships which are under the crosshair. Obviously there is some sort of lock, since as soon as you get close enough the weapon fire jumps to the target.
The problem now is, that if the target is strafing e.g. up-right-down-left (which is not possible on every mod), then this lock seems to prevent you from aiming differently. The shots will follow the ship, even if you try to shoot in front of it etc. and none of them will hit.
If there is no way to change that behavior through ini coding I will try to solve it via client-hook or maybe someone else already found a solution

I know in the weap_equipe.ini we have an option to do automatics weapons. It’s the only thing I know.

Sorry it’s for the AI…

There’s also one in shield entries, i think that one is used or added to the gun’s value while the shield is online. Might be wrong though. -
Thanks adoxa, I will try it out!

Northwest Indians told early explorers about the fiery Mount St. Helens. In fact, an Indian name for the mountain, Louwala-Clough, means “smoking mountain”. According to one legend, the mountain was once a beautiful maiden, “Loowit”. When two sons of the Great Spirit “Sahale” fell in love with her, she could not choose between them. The two braves, Wyeast and Klickitat fought over her, burying villages and forests in the process. Sahale was furious. He smote the three lovers and erected a mighty mountain peak where each fell. Because Loowit was beautiful, her mountain (Mount St. Helens) was a beautiful, symmetrical cone of dazzling white. Wyeast (Mount Hood) lifts his head in pride, but Klickitat (Mount Adams) wept to see the beautiful maiden wrapped in snow, so he bends his head as he gazes on St. Helens.

Solution in the private area (sorry Syd, you shouldn’t have reminded me…).Private area? Don’t see it in the private admins or tools section.

Private Hook/programming area. That’s even more restricted (just trusted Hook programmers essentially) than the server admins area.
The really nasty cheats are usually put in there for study and fixing if at all possible.
