Is this poss constant engine kill
-
like the title says the way i look at it you should be constantly drifting as sutch
your in space after all ive always hated that
when you turn you just stop
or when a cd hits you your out of engine kill
so if your in constant engine kill
its the way it should be
thats more relistic
if some one nuges you you should just drift away
so i sence a adoxa project here
all ready got ridd of the up down
be a good one if wee can get that out the game to -
Remove all linear drag everywhere. Be aware that handling will change radically.
-
Oh it will change so bad, it will also be quite funny to begin with.
-
And once you’ve done that reduce the mass of the ship to between 1 and 10 then newtons law actually applies as it should, force of the engine does actually multiply the mass to give acceleration. Hint, need to vastly reduce the engine force to be able to see it at first. The physics model is sound but they’ve set it up in a wierd fashion.
Or is he just asking for a solution to not being returned to normal flight when you get hit by something whilst the engine is killed?

If you really always want engine kill: common.dll, 09E500, 74->EB. You won’t be able to use cruise or dock anywhere, though. This looks like it does what you want.
common.dll 09D6B9 01->00 = start in engine kill mode ~adoxa common.dll 09EAF2 8881E9->C20400 = remain in engine kill mode ~adoxa

thanks adoxa new you would find it
ill try working some thing out from there
but basicly i want flying like you are in space
when i removed the auto lvl it was a bid disorentating at
first and the fighting has totaly changed
but for the better i would say more relistick -
no hacks really needed here.
you need to set linear_drag to 0 and reduce engine force so that your acceleration makes sense.
and obviously there will be no more max velocity limit since you can accelerate as long as you want (until you hit the edge of the system lol). -
adoxa you got me rong lol i dont want to kill the engine totaly lol just be in engine kill mode
basicly engine killed enabled
OutCast is right but i wnt to have some
thats why i want contant engine kill
if you have some you slow down and dont keep exelarating
basicly make it so its like normal but like you hit the engine kill buttonoi fox Unit 01
you pinched my idea out with it lol how did you do it

A re-done flight model (engine kill is now on all ships, and most classes drift around more to be specific) -
Do what was written before:
Reduce the linear_drag values from both ship and engine to 0.
