Timeline, Background Story Info etc. from Original Game

vanilla jumpgates are safe, gentlemen. remember, with Adoxa’s plug-in we can make any jumphole to jump you randomly to a death zone you created just for the purpose of non-safe jumpholes. and as we are on it, that would be pretty cool for jumpgates to take money from players to jump. that would require the player to deside, whether he risks a death with penalty (the other chance being a free jump to where he wants) or to pay for a safe jump

(I intend to do so in my mod, which, judging from my rate of progress, will be ready somewhere in the early 2020s. So keep hanging around  )

Nice idea. And realistic (in-game I mean) Maybe even with rep-related discounts (but that would be even harder to hack).

What I ment is wars during the storyline of the game, and some before (if there were any). Do you know where is this info?I think Discovery had a timeline along with all the wars during the storyline, but I’m not sure how much of that is actually canon. A lot of things mentioned during the single-player campaign such as the 80-year war between Rheinland and the GMG are only vaguely placed into the storyline.

The most things are real, but the rest was changed to fit in the story of Discovery.

I dont think there were more wars in the Sirian history. 80-Years War is the only war afaik. The only 2 conflicts I can recall are the Samura coup and the Popular Revolution in Rheinland.I dug in the news entries, and found loads of information about war going on during the original storyline: Kusari+Liberty vs Rheinland(Nomads), and after that some entries about more war between Rheinland and Kusari, and what you said about the Revolution in Rheinland. To make it interesting, maby I’ll add something in those few yearsbetween the end of Freelancer and the beginning of The-Knowledge(My main mod).

Hey guys, can you remind me in what year does the storyline end?You could try reading the OP, Loading the penultimate cutscene and putting two and two together?
Also bumped into this on the download sections. So I can feel like I’ve actually contributed:
805 “Now” in Sirius
805 Mississippi scheduled for decommissioning; will be turned into a museum
806 Myoko scheduled for decommissioning
820 Theoretical completion of Planet Harris terraforming
840 Estimated completion of the California Minor terraforming. The original projections for terraforming time were on the order of 400 years, but alien organisms have accelerated the process over four-fold.
850 Estimated completion of Liberty Debris Field cleanup.

The canon vanilla year is 800 A.S. not 805 when the SP campaign starts…and ends in 801 A.S. or in the same year as it started…so it is 800-801 A.S.

It doesn’t really make sense that the whole storyline took place in 1 year… Unless the years aren’t Earth years. How so? Given the number of gameplay hours, what actually happens and such, I’d say a year or less is a perfectly reasonable estimate for game storyline time.
