Thanks for the links, all working. Now i have a new question, why doesn’t it work in MS 1.76? It used to. Only difference is it’s now on my laptop and i’m running W7 64bit. All my other FL plugins work except this oneAdoxa’s 110mb site is still not accessible.
Dromedary: 1.76 is very old, and all the plugins I have work fine in 1.85 beta.

Just upgraded to 1.85 beta, and still have the same issue, wondering if i’m missing a dll or something from Win 7
@Sumanti
Thanks for those, tried them, no joy

Yes could be, i’ve not run them in Win 7 only in XP - can you set up VirtualPC or Virtual Box and run an XP Virtual Machine? That might do it.
But I also think others might help who are runnnig in Win 7? Guys?

You could my try MilkShape plugin identifier. However, by default it just ignores errors, so change 10F6 from 01 to 00, first. Now hopefully it will tell you why it won’t load.

Hey guys, I’m sorry for the necro but I’m having the same problem as Dromedary with the 3db exporter.
I’m running Win XP32, tried MS3D versions 1.75, 1.84 and 1.85 beta, but it still won’t show in the export column. All other plugins are working.
I also tried sumanuti’s suggestion, it didn’t work. I don’t know how adoxa’s MilkShape plugin identifier works so I haven’t tried that yet.
Can anyone help?

The identifier is a command line utility to show what type the plugin is. Here’s the results for my working exporter (Win 7 x64, MS 1.8.5 beta2):
C:\Graphics\MilkShape 3D>d/b#1 ms3dbExporter.dll 241,664 a---- 25 Sep, 2005 11:07:50 ms3dbExporter.dll C:\Graphics\MilkShape 3D>msplugin ms3dbExporter.dll Export -> Freelancer 3db
If the plugin doesn’t load nothing will be shown, but with the patch above Windows should pop up a message box saying why. If you have no message box and no output, then it’s not actually a MilkShape plugin at all.

Sorry, I’m not very good at this stuff. I can’t make heads or tails of it.
But if I’m getting this right, your 3dbexporter is dated 25 Sep 2005, while the one I downloaded from here is 10 Aug 2005. So you seem to have a newer version. Maybe that’s the problem?

That did the trick! The new one works.
Thanks adoxa!

Indeed it is - that version requires VS2003 files ([c]MFC71.DLL, MSVCR71.DLL & MSVCP71.DLL[/c]). Since there doesn’t appear to be a dedicated redistributable for them, easiest just to provide the exporter that doesn’t require them, I think.Ahh, that old chestnut. Well good news is that this also works for me now as well in Win 7, cheers for sorting this out
