is there a parameter or can there be enabled one for turbulences in nebulas? so you can make a really thick nebula with radiation and stuff and your ship is being shaken a little bit while you fly there. heard speed modifications are possible already.

No hex editing is needed to add nomad missions. Just set them up normally on a base and make sure that fc_n_grp is in vignetteparams.ini (what generates the mission) and you are good to go. if they are not in vignetteparams.ini you will never get a mission from them.I bet it will work technically - but I assume the missions’ texts will be the same as for any other faction? Which would be odd, imho.
Even weirder would be missions against the Nomads (expecially the ones that mention a boss’s name - nomads have only one name string, 229608, which is empty). But afaik it’s not possible to alter missions’ texts faction-specific, is it? You can prolly change it, but then the change will be global…
Btw, where are the mission texts anyway? Can’t seem to find them using FLED-Ids…

OfferBribeResources.dll, 327680 to 332024 (in OfferBribeResources.frc, anyway).

firstname_male = 197808, 197820 firstname_female = 197808, 197820 lastname = 197808, 197820 rank_desig = 197808, 197809, 197810, 11, 15 large_ship_desig = 196891 large_ship_names = 197808, 197820 formation_desig = 197808, 197820 formation = fighters, fighter_guild formation = gunboats, gunboat_wall formation = battleships, battleship_wall
Hum, “I’m the alpha and omega, the begning and the end…” Revelation 21:4…

Thanks, makes sense, did look there. Not good enough, apparently. Oh well, 't was rather late and I’ve got a mild flue

Nice And fitting, this godlike association. We might indeed see the Nomads as the Nephilim, and the D’am Kvosh as the Bene Elohim from the mysterious sixth chapter of Genesis, to stick to biblical terms.
These kind of biblical references were also in the original Battlestar Galactica series (the twelve tribes, Lucifer, Count Iblis - Iblis being the islamic name for Satan, e.g.)
But I’m getting off-topic now.

Wow, thanks! I implemented this and it turned out brilliantly. There’s something spectacular about seeing stars properly inside a nebula, plus they no longer suffer from transparency within asteroid fields causing objects to be seen behind them. It really improves the look of all systems.

I know it is hardcoded. I am using ST03 as a normal system but the navmap does not show up (It is not on visit = 128 )
-
Here it goes.
I reused ST03 and so when you fly in the system (Even though the system is set to visit = 0) it says No Nav Map Available. What I need is that to go away. (I don’t know what happened but I made a similar post on Friday and it was gone when I got back Sunday, so here it is again).

Fantastic, thanks for the help

Is there a way to bypass that initial “information fill out dialog” when a server is first started? I’m looking into using FLServer under Wine as an automatic startup item.
Essentially, I just want it to start without having to press the okay button.

Try config your server in Freelancer.ini, And then, start your FLServer with flserver.exe /c

Awesome, thank you good sir. Sorry for posting this request here.
And FLServer seems to be working internally with the latest compiled version of Wine and Debian 6.0.1. I’ve yet to thoroughly test it though, but there is only one way to find out…

I think I lost the meaning of this post.
It’s an Internet phrase, basically means my mind has been blown by the fact that FLServer runs under Wine.

Wine? WIne? WINEEE? WINE? WINE? WINE? MINE? MINE?
Be serious, what about player profile? I feel better to keep FLServer running in a vmwared Windows.
