Adoxa's UTFXML won't run/open?

Now I that I’m whining about proggies that won’t run, here’s yet another one:

UTFXML doesn’t open. When I try to run it (regardless if I do this normal or as administrator), I see the hourglass for a few seconds, then nothing happens.

(I do think it worked in my prev install of Win7 but I’m not sure; I’ve been using a laptop running Vista for a year or so too)

XMLUTF, on the other hand, works fine.

One thing that comes to mind is that I do not have Freelancer installed into its default folder, but to C:\FL\Freelancer But if UTFXML doesn’t open, there’s no way for me to change its settings anyway.

Although I didn’t explicitly phrased it, the previous post constitutes a question: How to get it running?

Anybody any experience on running UTFXML on a Windows 7 64bits computer? I hoped LS’s DLLpack would have also helped here, but alas.

I emailed Adoxa, but he didn’t respond sofar, and I do have some recollection he announced he would be away for a period.

As far as I can tell, I already have all the versions up to 4 (v4.0.30319 to be specific, for both x64 and x86) installed.

Also have you tried using the previous version? I just saw your using 2.2 I’m using 2.1

I did indeed redownload it.

Using the prev version might be worth a try. It’s not on Adoxa’s site though. Maybe you can email it?
