iam new in the Forum and i work on my own MOD for Freelancer.I dont know where i can post this topic so i post it in here .now my question :
Can some one tell me how i can modify .ale files … i know which programms i need (ALE EDITOR / NOTEPAD) but i dont know how this programm decodes the ale files (i select the file hit “Done” and nothing happends )Can someone give me a basic tutorial about ALE Modding i only need the basics for example how i can decrompes then and what i have to change that i can clone the file to create a new color for engines or something

The program outputs an anl and an ane files. Look in the program’s folder for an ‘output’ folder, that is where you will find the files. When rebuilding the ale file sinply select the ane file only, it will pack both of the files back together. It will make a tale file (as in temp ale), you can leave the extension alone or change it back to ale, will work either way. This was done so you didn’t accidentally replace an original ale file.
As far as editing, you will need to experiment. It’s been too long since I wrote it to remember much about the ale format. Others here may be able to help.

Try this file, it is the Star Trek warp FX I made years ago for SSM (my mod). The colors are changed and I think I commented it. If not let me know…

Hey i have a little Problem :
Some of my new effects works perfectly but some else crash the game or are not shown what i do wrong ?
or what can be the problem of this ?
