Unable to connect to any server?

Hi. I’m currently running FL Discovery 4.86. Both on vanilla and Discovery, I seem to be unable to stay connected to any server.

When choosing a character and connecting to the server, I either get shown my Desktop, in which case Freelancer proceeds to crash after a short moment, or Freelancer gives me this screen:

This happens to all servers, including my own. Singleplayer seems to work fine.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

I occasionally have the same issue usually a reboot fixes the problem for me. If you’ve done that then check your connection to your router especially if your connecting via wifi, freelancer hates wifi. IF that doesn’t help try the starport’s connection tutorial HERE also right at the top of the page
