Hi Acid, I got the last version of the mod, but haven’t got the link of your forge site on this laptop. I’m in Germany on business and use my company laptop. The forge link is on my private one.
I thought you need the server files for the npc encounters and paths? I got hook on my laptop here, but not the plugins for the ftl for example. But I give it a try anyway. Thanks.

Hi Venom, I hope you keeping well. It’s a shame that the server finished, but seeing that at most there was apart from myself only Stumpy, Wilko, Lolo and sometimes Scati there, I can see why.
Still, of all the mods, BSG-Galactica was always my favourite. I just got my 16 year old daughter interested in Freelancer and she did try BSG and loved it. Unfortunately I couldn’t go the way to Earth with her because the server went down.
Hence the reason I like to play it over Lan. Also to play it when I’m away on business.@Gisteron, I tried BSG online and lasted for about an hour before I gave up. Needless to say that I didn’t really like it
Didn’t NBS recently changed it’s mind about the BSG rights? I remember reading something about it, but not where that was.I got Diaspora but it’s also not really my cup of tea, even though it’s very well made.

Ok, I got BSG running as a Lan Server and also using flhook 1.6.7 by Kosacid. However, I can’t get the ftl to work.
I also get errors when trying to make myself admin.Exception in HkIServerImpl::Login
Code=c0000005 Offset=66370 Module=“Server.dll”Any ideas?
@Venom, you wouldn’t be able to send me the flhook files by any chance?Thanks

You are perhaps missing the right server.dll (unless the latest mod version provides one?). Since Acid and Venom are on this thread I guess you’re gonna resolve that.
Anyway, Aigle responded very enthusiastically and is willing to discuss release conditions of a server and client complete package of BSG Exodus, too. If anyone has requests regarding certain details of that as well, I’d gladly represent interests of any community member beside my own; thus feel free to make me know

I’m sure Venom and Acid are able to help. Feels good to hunt toasters again
I’m interested in giving Aigle’s version a try. I would only use it on private Lan and never host an Internet server. I haven’t got the hardware for that anyway.

Ok, flhook is running now as it should. It was the server.dll. I just changed it with one from another mod and all is fine now.

Hi all,
Just a quick question. Venom removed the ship banking when turning and also removed auto level to keep it more in line with the BSG Univese, but I like to add these again but haven’t got a clue how. Any tips, hints would be very welcome.

Thanks Gisteron, I think I found where to change it now, thanks to you. Looks like the settings are in Freelancer.exe and common.dll. Which Hex editor would you recommend to use?
Edit: Never mind. Found Hexplorer and used that to change the values.

Hey Gisteron, any chance you gould have a word with Aigle about releasing the server and client package? Would love to hear his conditions and give the mod a go.

In fact, he is tweaking Exodus currently a little and went as far even, as to leave the project to me (including distribution and development rights under discussed conditions) for I am the last he ever worked with who might potentially have time for modding and is still in contact with him. Since it is still in progress, there may be changes but it looks quite like this is what’s going on in the coming months. Thus, yes, there will most likely be a package released at least. I don’t know if I will be setting up a server but I might keep modding and improving it a little here and there with time passing. Feel free to PM me some requests or suggestions

Sound great. Not sure if a server is a good idea considering the recent closures of other great servers due to lack of players. But if you get one set up, count me in to be a regular player
I’m looking forward to a release package. I won’t have any requests or suggestions just yet as I’m not familiar with the mod.

hey is this a private lan gaming or can anybody join in on it? i live in a block house that spends alot of time gaming together, any chance we could join you? we’d be willing to be cylons some of the time. we do have a spare server, if you are interested.

As said, you can setup an Edge of Apocalypse server yourself. BSG Exodus will be released for public use with or without an official central server and will or will not be further developed after the release. Either have patience or try the Edge of Apocalypse mod… Or both.

Any news on a release for lan or open sp? I’ve been looking for months for even a mod w/ a viper available in sp, not even just a full bsg mod.
I found Galactica 2.0, Edge of Apocalypse, Dawn of War, and one or two others. I could not find a download link for any of them that were actually functional. It looks like anything that actually may be out there is mp only anyway.
I did find Edge of Apocalypse, but I don’t know anything about fl hook or anything like that. If any of you could guide me in any way I would be eternally thankful! That or if anyone has any of the BSG mods server files.

Galactica 2.0 comes with OSP support i know that. Ask Gibbon as he made it, prob on his site somewhere

I tried for about six hours tonight to create the Edge of Apocalypse server on a Win 7 machine. I disabled ipv6 and used fl hook 1.6.7, but I didn’t have any luck. The ip address for the server is coming up as fe:(ect.) and the version number is incompatible with my game version.
I tried to find Galactica 2.0 for a couple of hours, I found about three or four links but they were all dead. It looked like it at least had an OSP. I took your advice and went to the link, the mod isn’t available for download on that site. I did register an account and pm Gibbon, hopefully he still checks it and will be kind enough to provide me a copy of the mod.
Thanks for your quick response! At this point I may just have to settle for Diaspora. I wish they would make more games like Freelancer, sandbox with the mouse controls.
