I have the game installed, running with the correct cdcheck hack this time, changed the date, and am running my widescreen monitor at 1024x768 as it didn’t seem to work at the wider and higher resolutions.Now, despite installing the Indeo Codec above I’m getting the following:
createsoundbuffer failed, error=#80070057 on loading of the initial menu screen.Anything else I can try?
FYI, attempting to install the codec starts the installation the wheel spins, and then ends. Reading more it looks like I should have more options during the install but they don’t show.
Am I screwed because I’m 64bit?

Base infocards include “navigation notes” and there appears to be a gun modifier for every faction, though their effects lie dormant.

I know that Sinclair found the artifact (shown in the film) on Pygar (“I found it on Planet Pygar and knew immediately that it was of great archaeological significance.”).

Gibbon restored planet pygar in his phoenix mod, there’s also a working pygar mod on moddb I think but the landing sequence is not as well done as gibbons version.

Gibbon just incorporated the Pygar mod thats out there in his mod.
As for Startrackers, the Xenos are flying Starblazers (Startrackers as we know them)

there is also a reference to a “Space Creature” as well as some interesting capital ships, i.e. Bretonian Comet class Battleship as well as the normal br battleship. Loads of interesting stuff.

I don’t care for the technicalities of who did what, but the version in gibbons phoenix mod has an accurate landing sequence etc, the version on moddb needs more work unfortunately.

Is Gibbon still around?Mods not running on a server anymore but you can still download it from the strategy informer site. As for Gibbon, he hasn’t updated his moddb page in a while but I expect he’s still up to mischief, think he frequents SWAT sites rather than here now.
