Flickering rectangle

Hi all.
Im new here so i hope im in the right section.After installation of new win 7 64bit i installed also freelance.
But when i start the game a flickering rectangle appears in the left upper corner.
I tried to run the game as admin, compatibility mode, some tweaking but none of that helped.
Strange thing is that i tried to record video to upload it on Youtube but the rectangle is not flickering there. On the screenshot:http://i62.tinypic.com/2pt5kp5.jpg
it is visible how it looks when i play.
So if anyone knows what it is or what shoul i do with it please let me know.

I’m also running FL on Win 7 64 bit (and XP before that) and I’ve never seen that kind of bug, but it might be related to a graphics driver issue.
You need to list your PC build, especially the graphics card but in the meantime I’d suggest a clean install
Then try playing the vanilla game and see if the issue is present in an unmodded game.
Also list the mod you’re playing as it may be responsible for the graphical problem. -

from my vanilla game (you can see black rectangle again) and this black… something is still blinking and flickering very fast.
I also tried to update to 1.1 (still 1.0??? Wtf???) and also unofficial patch 1.4. Problem still there. Please i really want to play that awesome game.
Cant it be some rendering problem or something??? Thanks and have great day. -
Your PC spec is roughly similar to mine except I’m running a Phenom 955 CPU and a GeForce 450 graphics card.
The only time I’ve had flickering windows (much smaller though and bottom right) is when the game is accessing the internet and the windows firewall is blocking it and it displays a dialogue window.
Have you installed an additional firewall/anti-virus package like Norton or McAfee? if so it could be a dialogue window behind the game screen causing the problem.I believe the MS 1.1 patch is FL server related, the other patch you mentioned contains fixes for the vanilla game and decrypts the game files into text for editing.
Are you running any other games/software at the same time as FL? remember it’s an old game so there may be compatibility issues with modern software.
