Hardpoint Vertical Movement

I have been searching for an answer to this question all over the internet, but no post seem to mention it at all and just skip straight past.
I am trying to make weapons that are limited to turning about 5 degrees on all axes and I have been able to do this on the Y axis by just changing the hard point min/max values. But I have not been able to do the same for the vertical and so the weapons still move almost 90 degrees up and down.
Does anyone have an answer for how it may be possible to stop this?

To limit weapon’s rotation around Y you can either change the min/max values of hardpoints on ships/stations, or you edit the HpConnect (or whatever hardpoint is set for the gun as “main”) in the gun’s .cmp file itself.
To limit the elevation you must edit the gun’s .cmp file. This can be set in it’s Rev data (animation).By doing this you can create nice results, also guns that can shoot downwards instead of just upwards etc.
