Windows 10 Help Please.

Hello

I was an original owner of FL in 2004 and played it alot at the time, today i’ve been trying to get a working vanilla version on my laptop. I’ve managed to get a disk image to install on my laptop but i’m unable to get it to launch at all. I double click the desktop icon, it asks for admin permission etc then nothing at all.

I’ve tried everything I can find on the internet including, update to v1.1, install noCD patch, install Legacy Components and Direct Play. I’ve also tried all the usual compatibility stuff.

If anyone can please point me in the direction of any help or tutorial it would be much appreciated.

The game shouldn’t be asking for admin access, so turn off all the compatibility mode stuff you might’ve turned on.

If the game won’t work with 1.1 and the no-CD patch (both of which are mandatory to play on Windows 10), you’ll want to download and install the JFLP which should make it work.

Thanks very much for the reply, I’ll give that a try and let you know how it goes. It was asking for admin access immediately after a clean install though?

I managed to get it to work but I couldn’t get the file you linked to working. I tried the older JFLP file and now seem to have a working Version 1.0. Thanks so much for your help with this!
