Server switch / migration

Since we had some performance issues with this server cos we obviously started to run loads on it we decided to upgrade it a bit.
After talking with our hoster they came up with a nice offer wich i couldn’t resist.

So this weekend we will be switching from this Celeron coffee maker to a new dual core box, we hope this will bring a performance boost overall.

The downtime, if any at all, will be limmited as i can keep using this server for a while parallel to the new one, the new one also will be in the same IP range so no DNS updates will be needed.

If we experience downtime at all we are sorry for that.

Also expect some major changes on the website soon regarding look and feel but more on that on a later notice.

P.S. for the hardware junkies among you lot. The server will be a Intel Dual core E6400 with 1GB mem and a sata II config.

THe switch will take place either tonight around midnight GMT or tomorrow afternoon.

Found out i also had a social life.

The site will be migrated the comming 2 hours. Expect some downtime, we are sorry for that.
