Thanks for the share. I’m creating a website that will deal with topics like this one and Space and where we are with it now. It will feature many items like, videos, pics, related space sims and the likeness of them as how we see it and enjoy the possibility of succeeding in the exploration of it, etc… and I will include this one as well.

No it’s not the response that disturbs me, it’s the way it responds for these commands:
normal kick/ban: new line at the end
kickban / unban: new line at START and END

I only found kickban and unban affected yet, so if you find others please let me know.

Well, I tried it again today. Ubuntu 11.04 (I hate Unity, so Gnome 3 instead :)) and wine 1.3.20.

There are some fixmes spammed in console during startup, but the only real trouble I get is at the multiplayer server selection screen - huge lag, more console spam and no servers on the list:

I also use Notepad++ for all my work concerning modding, scripting, web-building, coding and for those boring tasks such as writing or reading. I am very pleased with it. Try it. Hihi. It also adds a shell extension to windows. You right click a file (any file even binary) and select “Edit with Notepad++”. It’s just great. ::) ;D

Oh yes, Vista… The latest incarnation of the Microsoft Trojan to Infest PC’s….

Here is the solution I used for gaming with my brand new PC, bought equipment that was not “Vista” exclusive then used XP Pro with Service Patch 3. At liest after countless patches and security fixes plus all the third party corrections it acts like a Operating System and not a Spoiled Child while I am trying to play a game. Then for other things that don’t “Require” Win-Doz I can multi-boot into a real operating system. Don’t forget Win-Bloz 7 Holds so much hope right now if you wanna buy even more hardware to maybe make it run like XP already did…

Either use linux with emulator or tweak XP, works great, which i did (i hate the normal windows behaviour, and its STILL not perfect)

There are two downsides.

1. Multiplayer is still a no-go.
2. Rendering is slower than running natively, you will notice that the entire screen is not being redrawn in a single pass at resolution like 1680x1050.

Actually, it looks like the first guy who got FL working under wine was on 0.9.44, Aug 28 2007.

I don’t think any of the Wine devs are paying much attention to FL MP. Maybe there’s someone here who would be able to get it working and submit patches though.
Rendering in Wine is never going to be as fast, as it’s DirectX calls have to be reworked for OpenGL.
