I will reopen the tread when I have something to report.
In the meantime, if you want to send me any further ideas or suggestions you may have please PM me directly. Failing that look me up on MSN.
We are currently working on a whole different site where a Forge is included as a project system.
With this system we want ALL downloads to be registred as a project where people can see releases, and issues related to those releases.
Its a script running in apache what checks for uploads, unfortunatly the forge wasn’t included properly.
Made a test with some joomla plugin thing, I uploaded with opera, so probably most browsers will work.
upsy, we had to disable the search engine friendly urls cos IE7 couldn’t handle them with some Java script, but the search link still was in the old form.
Hm, I re-checked, but couldn’t find the option. Maybe you can only change them until you become part of a group that assigns you a name, like server admins&owners?
Maybe, but at the same time, I’m reluctant to go for a FL-styled site. Why? Because FL’s interface is by the ugliests on the market >.>
You can’t say the FL interface is genuinely pretty, can you? Finding the balance between the “FL feel” and a more modern, interesting and refreshing design is not small feat.
