IMHO, there’s already a “Private” section here and some things should be discussed and processed through it before making them public. That’s what it was intended for in the first place, in part. Many things have been already been posted on the “General” forums that should be previewed by SOp’s and Admins prior to a general posting in order to keep their viewpoints as they should be, between Server Ops and Admins.

If someone from the public wants this info, they can follow the rules to gain access just like the ones of us that have it now. Run a server, have it up for a while along with a forum and so forth then apply for that access.

I know I’m no modder and not that I don’t want to be because I keep trying. But, I do run a server and have been for a long time even though it’s not as active or up as often these days I still value the information by having that access and that’s why I applied for it.

Let others do the same.

I never have any problem getting a reply form the Admins here. I can pm one and within hours or by the next log in, I have a reply.

Too many Admins can make things a little confusing at times especially, when you pm one and he doesn’t reply fast enough to your expectations then you PM another. Next thing you know you have both of them replying to the same request or questions and getting different answers.

As it stands now, all is good to me.

People do have real lives to live, you know. Besides, these guys here have other forums to reply on as well, they have been around Freelancer for many, many years and many here have only just begun.

These guys do a good job here.

I tried to download the Freelancer Fansite Kit a few days back for rsabatino but I got rejected for some reason. Guess I can’t do that here? I’m glad he’s already found it. It was worth the try anyway.

Didn’t keep me from connecting to the site though. I can log in without any problems.

Actually, they screwed FL over. Roberts had FAR grander plans for the game, but MS shoved it to release in an unfinished state.

Had they had more time, imagine what we could’ve had… A much larger storyline, a true tutorial, dynamic economy, bump mapping, specular mapping, shadows maybe? More support from the devs afterwards? Instead, DA was dismantled soon after.

As for Windows, the only reason people are sticking to it is because most games only run on DirectX. If the Khronos Group could get their head out of their asses, maybe they could make a COMPETITIVE alternative out of OpenGL…

Its a time out on the profiles. It gets reseted every so many seccond.

There is a Wiki in production right now. When TSP 2.0 is released, the Wiki will be released with it.

Sorry if I seam to imply that there was ill intent over the crediting. I had assumed it was an error, either human or code relate, but I was nonetheless rather concered seeing someone eles’ name on my submission.

Anyway I hope I haven’t caused too much of an inconvence and I look forward to seeing the new downloads system.
