Ship Not Docking
-
Does the ship have an HpMount? I’ve found that this is the one mount needed for ships to function correctly, and if it doesn’t have this, well, nothing works. I first discovered this when porting solar objects to be pilotable ships - if the ship didn’t have an HpMount, I would undock in the middle of nowhere, and would be unable to undock.

If you have an HP mount i suggest moving it around a bit till you find the optimum spot for it, we had to do this with some ships on MU.

i hate friendly fire. xD
KNEW IT WASNT MY FAULT :@

You know… YOU made that WT_shiparch.ini file. Look at the SVN if you don’t trust me ;D

Basically, it seems like Freelancer won’t read properly more than one shiparch INI file. The ships work fine, but they won’t dock… Moving the definition to the main shiparch file fixed the issue instantly.
I sometimes hate FL with a passion

ahhh well thats something else i’ll need to remember then
i got a ship with two thrusters in th ecmp, two in the shiparch and they wont work, cant see any valid reason for it, but thats fl for ya.
I suppose theres gotta be a reason, but i can’t find it anywhere

If you can mount 2 thrusters then the HPs are OK. If not then recheck the names you used and check the shiparch.ini entry.
If they are mountable but seem to have no effect, the usual reason is their thrust is not enough. If it’s a large ship with big mass then you will need lots of ooomph to see a difference in speed.

yea, just make your thrusters 10000000000000 power and your set. ofc… once you do that and touch thrust, say good bye to Kansas.
