Didn’t this somehow require using Alcander’s Freelimits? I’m pretty sure it did…
If that’s the case, I don’t think you’ll see sellable engines anytime soon.
If you mean BUYABLE, though (you can purchase them to mount them, but you can’t sell them to the dealer), I think just adding proper Goods entries and such would be enough, but I’ve never been in that area all that much, so maybe there’s an extra step.

Uni be very careful with anything Alcander has done, most of his hacks cause real problems for ppl. Colours Elite found that the sellable engine hack left their server wide open to cheating. While the Freelimits “patch” causes a lot of PC’s to lock up.

if you have engines with a greater variety of “linear_drag”/“max_force” values. -
We’ve implemented an engines buyable option using the engines_buyable mod technique put together by OuterStar in his Engine Shop mod. The only problem is we’re committed to keeping our server 100% compatible with the unmodded player. What this prevented us from doing was setting a price of greater than say 1 credit for the engines. So, any player running the mod can switch out their engines, but it’s really only a color thing. If I made the engines worth more than a credit, the unmodded player would be charged that much extra when purchasing a new ship.
