Except the fail fun of Knife ofcourse.If its needed we lock it.
But atm i have fun in reading the thread, seeing childish remarks… people who’s " I " button is stuck, and repeating ranting wich gets boring at times.
But until we stop having fun reading it we keep it open. -
I don’t want an apology from anyone just stating that the joke could not be taken as such from us. Just want to let you know this guys.
I see that, yet is it a reason to make pages long posts that basically consist of self-praising?
I dont see us (as in the Starport staff) come to the Swat Portal to defend TSP from claims such as we would destroy the FL community and whatnot and how OP is again gonna save us all by his magic wand (and these are not jokes!). -

Admins which take site with people that violate rules.
I have heard about this community just a few weeks ago when I decided to build my first Freelancer mod. It just took a few days reading this forum to find out that this here is a plain sick and decadent site. It looks like you want to keep the status quo: the degeneration of the Freelancer community.The good news is: this is not the only Freelancer site on the net.

(on a side note: IF the TSP admins have no time and no interest in FL anymore like they claimed on that particular thread…. why did one of them join the reactorforge admin team then? obviously TSP has enough other problems and projects that are not finished nor even started to be done. And why in gods name does guy started a thread on the RF admin forum trying to convince the other RF staff members not to listen to my suggestions. Sorry but i am sick of that backstabbing crap that is done behind the scenes.)

FYI (that means ‘for your information’) I never claimed to not have the time. You don’t have the background information on the Admin team here, so don’t pretend to know everything. I currently have no Internet Connection. I have to use my Blackberry as modem which is slow and sluggish. Or I can use my internet at work for an hour a day. So I told the Team here once my net connection is back, I will be able to do more, until then I cant do more than post here on the forums as thats all my connection allows me to do.
I am not on the ‘Admin’ team at ReactorForge. I am there observing and providing feedback and assistance after being asked by YellowEagle and BakedPotato. The site is in Alpha whilst they await Turion. And if you hadnt noticed Freelancer isnt even 5% of what the site covers. I have access to the Admin Panel and such, but dont actually do anywork there.

I did NOT tell them to disregard your suggestions. I asked them to not allow a flame war about Freelancer on thier site. There is too many flame wars. Like this thread for example. I also told them although I respect what you have done on SWAT I also think your part of the problem. So yes, in a way I respect you, but in another way you drive me crazy with frustration. Your 3rd post on Reactorforge was belitteling Starport and everyother site APART from SWAT.
I personally dont see that I did anything wrong other there. Nor does a single member of the ReactorForge site.
So my advice to you is before making a post over here about an incident elsewhere, get your facts right or speak to me in MSN first. You have me added.

I would like to see your attempts at a Starlancer MOD continue unhindered,

'Lo, I’m Jammi from the Discovery mod. If you’ve been over there you’ve probably spotted me at some time or other. I just thought it’d probably be a good idea to come on over here to see what was going on!
Aside from that I’ve got a dream of creating a total conversion Starlancer mod for Freelancer - I’ve no idea whether this has been done before, and I most certainly don’t have the skills to do it yet, but I’ll be learning and looking for help! You can get anything done with persistence and dedication, right?
Well, hopefully it’s as good here as people say. I’m sure you guys are just great.

And i think you would not be allowed to delete OPs post when i request to do so. This could simply be abused. I am no lawyer - but i think such actions would not be justified. Only the person who is owner of something (in this case posts) can request to delete them or delete downloads etc.pp… If there is another admin or whatever titel he/she wears doesnt matter. Its based on the law that you have to obey even in the internet

And you are welcome to research on SWAT about such jokes about TSP - if you found one you are welcome to start a thread there as well. I am not totally sure but there was another incident here on TSP where i think a post from OP or anyone else was deleted and the thread was closed. Closing threads wont do any good. The frustration can not be solved - cause that is mostly done by communication. Thats my impression and for this reason i would only close a thread if it is violating heavily agains any rules. BTW if you think we shall move to somewhere else - i can offer to post on SWAT cause we are dealing here with us. And if you dont like it here we can do it at SWAT (no its no direct advertisment - i just want that people can talk and discuss things if they feel to do so).@roo:

I also find it funny you put everyone you disagree with you as being part of the “TSP community”, like that was a very defined and isolated group of people. It just looks like you want to make it seem as if it was Starport’s fault if people disagreed with you or didn’t like you, while everyone has their own communities and their own history. Of course people on the SWAT Portal won’t disagree with you as much, if at all. Why would they be there otherwise? People are crying bias, but bias is everywhere.

Then why did you bash soooo many ideas over here as being unfeasible or outright bad? I’m not against constructive criticism, but you just came in the thread with a 1000-ton mass of “fail” and bashed the ideas without ever providing possible alternatives or actually showing any form of tact. It’s not THAT hard to be gentle, even if you think the idea is total bullshit, and people will appreciate you more for it.
@Huor: Knife, AzzA and Mentalchaos did not find it funny. They did it purposefully so everyone would be disgusted, to taint the reputation of the whole community through the sole (at the time) active portal listed on the official fansite list. Don’t try entering in the mind of those guys, it’s akin to trying to understand Satan himself. On top of that, nothing posted or done here is obscene, like their stuff was. Again, the comparison is very distasteful.
@Septimus: If that’s what you think we’re doing, you’re free to do as you please. Have fun!
And thanks OP for making me think to check what you guys say of SP at SWAT Portal. An interesting read for sure, if a little expected.

— If Pred requests SWAT to remove WTS stuff in PM it’s an evil offence
— If SWAT posts that in a public forum it’s ok— If other people don’t fight TLR as SWAT wants them to, they are of short memory etc.
— If SWAT works with TLR it’s fine.— If someone makes a joke about the relation Discovery - SWAT, it’s as evil as posting porn links for SWAT.
— If someone points at plain facts, it’s ‘trash talk’.
— Once more we had to see very long stories about community etc. etc.
… and even so the WTS World mod did assimilate stuff from everywhere
… starting with Argh and not ending with W0dk4, i was not able to find any credits 4 SWAT.
… - maybe those were missed, but i suppose they just were not earned
… and ‘community’ ends, were no personal advantage can be gained.So thanks for proofing once more

Assumption much? As I’m the only one who posted any mention of fanboys, not referring to anyone in particular. You yourself have you just called your own community fanboys.
