In my opinion…
Adding wonderful compounded visual effects to be different just makes the engine work harder, guys, and if you have a lot of them FL runs awful jerky and it’s not pleasant. DA had problems and had to withdraw a fair amount of their plans for graphics brilliance for FL when they saw the limitations. OK granted you may all have super-whazzo PCs and 8Mbit Broadband, but…
Be reasonable if you’re making a mod for general players, huh?

I think what Firekiss was talking about in 1. post was Specular Lightning on glowmapped textures.
Yes right, but after, Lancer mentioned about this Ot and Oc (i guess these are new nodes at the material library) , and i hoped it can be used to make the vanilla textures transparent somehow.

**To make the transparency work properly you need to add an alpha channel to your texture. FL is a little weird about that, if you don’t have an alpha channel sometimes the Ot will work and sometimes it won’t, usually it won’t.
Transparent nebulas, the nebula panels are already transparent. The actual shape of the panels is square but you don’t normally see a square unless there is a problem with your texture.**

As you wrote in the last row: “usually won’t”. I spotted some texures with existing Oc, but these are crows and galaxies based on black transparent layer. Could i import vanilla textures (walker/cloud mainly) into photoshop and make them transparent somehow (by default the transparent box is gray when i import into photoshop so i cant set it) or i have to make a new in photoshop then export into tga?
I tried many methods without success so far i’m new in this part of modding so please help me in this.thanks,
