An idiotic question: Names and infocards

I’ve been looking all over for a tutorial on how I would give something, or anything a custom name or infocard, like a weapon, all I understand is that somehow they’re stored in DLLs, but no information on how you change any of that. So I’m kind of desperate,
Please, how do I modify, create, or otherwise edit the names of ships, systems, weapons, anything? -

Just load up your FL INI in the Home tab and look in the DLL Editor tab.

Well, the FL INI you refer to must refer to existing DLLs…
If you want to edit your DLL in a mod, you need to copy both the FL INI and the DLLs you need into your mod’s folder. Did that?

You can’t “find” it. It’s for when YOU have a .csv file to parse with FLDev

True, I love this thing except when I start it, it uses 100% of my cpu and takes like 5 minutes to load up. But when it done loading, its my best friend. Anyway to stop it from using 100% of my cpu and taking 5 minutes to load? (sigh, only running a single core processor)

That’s an issue with single-core CPUs that stems from FLDev’s multithreading for the DLL loading routine. I’m afraid you’re out of luck
