He means the wireframe editor u can use when u right click on a station with parts attached via “parent = station_name”.
On the attached picture u can see a selected modul called big_arm_05 which connects the dock to the main station.

i can’t wait to get my hands on this good luck to you in the creation of what will be an awesome tool, but just to satisfy my curiosity how long do you reckon it’ll be before the first public beta? Anyway can’t wait for thisOzed.
Depends how stable you want it to be

I wrote a zone rotation calculator for the mining plugin. It supported ellipsoids (and sphere) but not cylinders. It’s in a file called ZoneUtilities.C. You can find the plugin source in the flhook plugins project on the forge.
Unfortunately I got the algorithm wrong - close but wrong and I ran out of time to find the mistake. The mistake was either direction of rotation (Left to Right or Right to Left) or order of rotation (X-Axis then Y then Z or some other order). I never did figure it out but the code might serve as a starting point for you.

Yeah I have the same problem here. It is working for every zone type except cylinders. They are also looking right but the rotation is just wrong. It would be interesting to know how freelancer handles them

Just a quick heads up… the top of the sidebar says “Typ” instead of “Type”…. lolThats because the tool supports english and german and at that picture german was selected.

Mind of making a 3d navmap?
And BTW, 3d system may call some navigational problems…
Or may not?
Any Ideas?I’ve read somewhere that npc’s will still be spawned at a 0 level, never tested though.

**Mission NPCs yes, normal NPCs, anywhere.
Good work on the editor BTW**

Well Vital has a good reason, but for the Brits…
Duhhh…
And I want Grik support or else I’ll throw Paklavas and Retsina at you and all over the Plaka Square!
Graaaaaaaagggghhhhh!!!
Stfx - do as you wish my friend, it’s a super tool project.
English would be very kind to those who lack education - the Brits!!But German language is a MUST!
(ST flings a Paklava and a used Balalaika at Vital)

Yeh, I saw you’re from Minsk, I wasn’t getting at you, as I said you have good reason, as English is not your only language…
I was having a peck at the Brits and Yanks that don’t know any other language (except Rubbish!).
If you see what I threw at you, the Paklava is a baked Greek sweet made with thin sheets of pastry, honey and nuts, and the Balalaika is a damaged Russian variation of the Greek Bouzouki - huh?? Since when did they make Bouzoukis in Romania and Ireland? Where is the mother-of-pearl decoration??!! (It seems that the Greeks did go to Russia 3,000 years ago after all - that’s why some Russians are called Dimitri and the others are all called Alexi ! We got there first!). But i don’t know where the women came from, they don’t have Greek names except Anna! (and maybe Katia?)
- So you get a sweet and something to play music on too - that’s friendly, no?
Heheheh. Here’s what a good one sounds like… Bouzouki music solo
You should see what I throw at people I don’t like!
By the way, we also got to Germany first, there are many guys named Andreas there!

There are still some bugs to fix until I can release the final version of Freelancer Mod Studio.
But here is something for those who just cant wiat.
I created a standalone app that allows you to watch a system - Freelancer Mod Studio 3D System Watcher
Shortcuts:
- Open File … Ctrl+O
- Hide selected object … Space or Ctrl+H
Camera Handling:
- Rotate … right mouse button
- Zoom … Ctrl+right mouse button or mouse wheel
- Select … left mouse button
- Look At … double click right mouse button
- Pan … Shift+right mouse button
Hint: It automatically reloads the file if it was changed. So you can use it with your preferred text editor.
Dont expect anything fancy the tool is just half as powerful without the ability to select hide/show the objects from the list, edit, add and remove entries. See picture of my last post.
