Ship handling erratic when near another player with large battleship

Anyone seen this problem?
A couple of players reported this strange problem:-
A player with a small ship gets thrown around and loses control of his ship when he is near his pal who has a very large battleship (actually a huge scale battleship over 1000m long, = 1,000 MilkShape units). He has to be more than 1000m away to regain control.
We have other large battleships, even larger, which do not have this problem.
Is this something to do with the .sur file of the large ship?
Maybe the .sur file radius value?
Or other values somewhere else?
What does the .sur file radius affect? I have only seen it affect the displayed distance from the ship, when it is too large the distance 0m is displayed when I am still a long way away from the ship.

If ye stumped & cant fix it… make it a feature?
Put something in the offending BS infocard like “has a 1K disruptor field generator”…
But a fix would be better lolz… just tossing up a alternate for ye ST
