MP ID #

Multiplayer ID. Thats my problem. While using Mod manager I had a plroblem removing mods. So I broke the cardinal rule and deleted files. Needless to say that only made matters worse! The mod remains even after reinstalling the game. I can play single player with no mods. But if I activte any Mp sever the mod returns. Even the original MP server that came with the game. (You can do that and play by yourself.) Any way The mods are tied in with my Mp ID. I think the only way to get rid of them is to get a new MP ID. But I have no idea how to do that!
So I’m still freelancing solo. I may nevre rplay MP again; But I didi enjoy it when I did. I f I ever find my way out of this mess, I will happyly rejoin the MP comunity. Good luck to all of you freelancers. Follow the stars to new adventures! -
do not reinstall, but deinstall, delete remains, install again. your MP id is not of any importance for this. from your explanation i guess its your freelancer.exe’s build, that remains modded, which is caused by a wrong deletion of the file itself.

And also ensure you delete your …\My Documents\My Games\Freelancer folder completely, it probably has saved games from the mod in it…
After I learned what to do, I have never needed to play with the registry, nor fully uninstall the game - just deleted my \Freelancer game folder and the “My Games\Freelancer” folders and re-install from my CD and everything is always fine.
I also have a Virtual CD/DVD drive and converted my FL and other CDs to .iso files and use them by mounting in the Virtual CD/DVD drive.
I use Virtual Clone Drive, it’s free and superb:
