Shifting the HUD
-
The supplied hudshift.ini needs to be edited before it has any effect (everything’s commented out), and placed in DATA\INTERFACE. If you’re using hudshifter.dll, you need to move it to DLLS\BIN, or use the full path in EXE\freelancer.ini. Similarly, hudshift.dll should be in EXE, or use the full path in EXE\dacom.ini.

Guys you need to look at the hudshift.ini!And you need to click the links in some posts.
See? Now you have 1920x1080…
Tomorrow you will have one of the two I mentioned above, which were derived entirely from my imagination (no disrespect to Sanyo or LG intended).
Let me know when (if) you get my drift (drift in this case means the unintentional wandering of the mind)…

Don’t worry, this site is for all, ask any question and you will get an answer.
Don’t mind me too much, I’m a gwumpy wabbit from time to time.
My comments here were aimed at not following everyone’s wishes because it is never-ending and many are one-offs or will have a small following and are not worth the effort of people like adoxa - who should be working on our sur builder!

Awesome work Adoxa
Works like a dream on my side, with your JFLP patch a perfect Widescreen support in Freelancer now.
Thx a lot m8
cheers
CURSOR -
Nice work. Thanks
I just got an issue a few mins ago:
After switching back from desktop to freelancer my screen was bugged. Everything was moved a bit out of the window and I couldn’t see what I was typing in chat for example (as if the cameras.ini was miss configured).I don’t know if it was related to HudShift.dll but it was the first time that it it happend since I’m using your widescreen patch.

im not quite sure where to put the files. and what to do.
i can edit some files like this but these have got me lost.
i place Hudshift.dll in Exe. add the dll to Dacom.
place hudshift.ini in Interface.
but what of the other files on the folder. or do i move the whole folder to interface.
but than what do i do with hudshift.ini
faceplams. not a coder. can just edit sometimes.

@Crazy: Sorry, can’t duplicate that (using 1280x800 and the 16:10 Horizontal shift).
@viper: Oops, my bad. The crash I mentioned in hudshift.ini was actually due to a wrong offset. Please download again (still calling it v1.00, though). You’ll also want to double up the difference (so using 16:9 you’ll want to use ±1.0945).
@warlordfmike: The dll and ini are all you need; the other files are the source, for the coders/curious. All you need in hudshift.ini is:
[HUDShift] Horizontal = -0.033 ```if using the 5:4 camera (the JFLP default, but a little cramped), or
[HUDShift]
Vertical = 0.026
GaugeBars = 0, 0 -
@adoxa:
I can reproduce it now:I’ve opened the NavMap (on a MP server), switched to desktop and then back.
I’m not sure if it is related to HudShift or to your widescreen patch in JFLP. I guess it will be caused by the latter but I will test it later.

Hi all I tested work now but one i gave it with an 1440x900 resolution get this result:
http://s10.directupload.net/file/d/2194/bjgxdrik_jpg.htm
Any ideas?
[Edit]
He opened and closed the hud one time then all looks fine, but after new login or F1 its bugged again until he open and closed the hud.
His System is Windows 7 64 Bit. -
I’ve uploaded version 2.00. It fixes viper’s problem and, for the dedicated, allows even more repositioning options - all the offsets are stored in the ini.
