    Updated it, adding ChatBox (chat input window), ChatMsg (chat output window) and ChatMsgTrade (chat output window during trading). There’s also Horizontal and Vertical, changing everything at once.

    Nice work. Thanks 🙂

    I just got an issue a few mins ago:
    After switching back from desktop to freelancer my screen was bugged. Everything was moved a bit out of the window and I couldn’t see what I was typing in chat for example (as if the cameras.ini was miss configured).

    I don’t know if it was related to HudShift.dll but it was the first time that it it happend since I’m using your widescreen patch.

    im not quite sure where to put the files. and what to do.

    i can edit some files like this but these have got me lost.

    i place Hudshift.dll in Exe. add the dll to Dacom.

    place hudshift.ini in Interface.

    but what of the other files on the folder. or do i move the whole folder to interface.

    but than what do i do with hudshift.ini

    faceplams. not a coder. can just edit sometimes.

    @Crazy: Sorry, can’t duplicate that (using 1280x800 and the 16:10 Horizontal shift).

    @viper: Oops, my bad. The crash I mentioned in hudshift.ini was actually due to a wrong offset. Please download again (still calling it v1.00, though). You’ll also want to double up the difference (so using 16:9 you’ll want to use ±1.0945).

    @warlordfmike: The dll and ini are all you need; the other files are the source, for the coders/curious. All you need in hudshift.ini is:

    [HUDShift]
    Horizontal = -0.033

    ```if using the 5:4 camera (the JFLP default, but a little cramped), or
    [HUDShift]
    Vertical = 0.026
    GaugeBars = 0, 0
    @adoxa:
    I can reproduce it now:
    I’ve opened the NavMap (on a MP server), switched to desktop and then back.
    I’m not sure if it is related to HudShift or to your widescreen patch in JFLP. I guess it will be caused by the latter but I will test it later.
    I can confirm it with just jflp.dll loaded.
    Edit: I’ve tested the other windows too but alt-tabbing works fine while they are open.
    Just the NavMap bugs it.
    (Would be better placed in the JFLP thread but. yeah :D)
    It seemed the NavMap still wanted the 4:3 camera, so when it’s opened, I switch to that, restoring it when it closes. I guess alt-tabbing misses the close, so the 4:3 camera remains. Sorry, but that can wait till I get back to JFLP.
    I’ve uploaded version 2.00. It fixes viper’s problem and, for the dedicated, allows even more repositioning options - all the offsets are stored in the ini.
    your read me file
    HUD Shift is a plugin to reposition items in the HUD.
    It can be installed either in EXE\dacom.ini
    (add an entry to [Libraries]),
    done at end of [libraries] list, ive added hudshift.dll
    or to EXE\freelancer.ini
    (add an entry to [Initial SP DLLs]). if this is for single player which i dont bother with anymore so not changing this
    Either use the full path to hudshift.dll
    for the entry, or copy it to EXE (former) or DLLS\BIN (latter).
    done both
    The latter will be loaded every time a game is loaded, allowing positions to be changed
    on the fly; the former will only be loaded once.
    Copy hudshift.ini toDATA\INTERFACE and edit as required (remove the semicolon from the [;HUDShift]
    section that does what you require, or add your own [HUDShift] section).
    done, delete the lines with not my resolution, i.e. mine is 1680x1050
    in game hud/icons still off screen
    i edited perfopt.ini to 1680x1050 aswell
    what am i missing
    update ive also copied the hudshift.dll to bin/dlls
    same effect
    You should see hudshift in the spew if it’s loaded. Deleting the lines won’t help, you need to delete the semicolon: [[color=FF0000]**;**Hudshift] -> [HudShift].
    It also sounds like you’re not using JFLP for widescreen support (since you edited PerfOptions). That probably means your camera values are wrong. Try editing DATA\cameras.ini - change 54.432 to 63.361 and all the 70s to 80.077. Bear in mind some servers may call that cheating.
    I have a 16:10 monitor that runs at 1440x900. The bar going off the top of the screen. I launch and dock again and I still have problems with the bar going off the top of the screen. The hud shift is not working…Pls., help me.
    That’s a problem with the camera. For 16:10, your cameras.ini should like this.
    [WinCamera]
    fovx = 63.361
    [CockpitCamera]
    fovx = 80.077
    znear = 2
    [ThirdPersonCamera]
    fovx = 80.077
    [DeathCamera]
    fovx = 80.077
    [TurretCamera]
    fovx = 80.077
    [RearViewCamera]
    fovx = 80.077
    ```Or use [JFLP](http://adoxa.110mb.com/freelancer/), which also does a bit more.

    because discovery has its own widescreen support. add to your FL shortcut -dx and youre fine once a space scene is rendered
