Could really use some help here.

For some reason FLMM is acting up with me no matter what version I use. When I try to install almost any mods to it, I get the following error message….Access to F:\Program Files\Freelancer Mod Manager\mods(name of mod)\EXE\InfoCards.dll was denied. I don’t even know what the hell that means. I am not a program guy, I just know how to put the parts together. Program issues are not my forte’ so I really need help from people who understand these types of messages. Oh and also when I finally get a mod to activate, it won’t de-activate and I have to restore the back-up files. To add to the fun, any time I try to turn on another mod, I end up having to start a new game from scratch. I can’t believe that evey single mod that works for eveyone else is corrupt when I decide to use them. Slowly going insane here people. Someone throw me a lifeline please. Oh and on a side note, back a few years ago when I played this game all the time, I used a mod that plotted the best course to get places using jumpholes. Dose anyone know where I can get it again? Since I’ve beat the game about a thousand times, it’s not cheating to have a full nav map with everything on it. I’ve been everywhere, just don’t know where anything is anymore. lol

Short checkup list:

FL is not running?
-
Are you on Vista/7?
2a) If so, are you running FLMM as Administrator? (Right-click, run as Admin)
EDIT: As for your savegame issue, this is normal; most mods severely alter Single Player compatibility. You shouldn’t be switching mods all the time to play a continuous campaign.

Well to start,
A save made with Mod A is usually not compatible with Mod B.
Unless the mod is a small mod changing only certain parts of freelancer. Any large universe mod will proberbly cause problems when using old saves.“Access to F:\Program Files\Freelancer Mod Manager\mods(name of mod)\EXE\InfoCards.dll was denied.”
Is windows probem
need to run Modmanager as admin, if that doesnt help try disabling UAC control in user options control pannel. User Account Control. If windows isnt allowing Mod Manager to access or change files then "it won’t de-activate and I have to restore the back-up files. "

Finally!! People who actually knew what they were talking about! Thank you so much. The mods are installing just fine now(yay!). As for the other thing, I don’t really turn on mods in the middle of the game like that, but there have been times in the past that I would turn on an extra mod while playing and it worked just fine without starting the game over. I always made sure that the mods didn’t conflict with each other. Anyway i just want to say thank you again since your advice worked out perfectly.
Ps……Does anyone know about the mod I was asking about though? I’d really like to have that mod that gave all the locations on the nav map and used jumpholes to plot the fastest course to my destination. Made things a lot easier on me. lol

I don’t know about such a mod, but you might want to try out FLDataStorm which generates a full navmap based of your FL files (the first start needs more time than later on):
http://ds.fa-matz.de/Or a flash navmap which is viewable by your browser, but not half that detailed as DataStorm is:

That sounds like Freelancer Companion. It displays a map of the universe or system, shows commodity prices, and calculates optimal trade routes.
There is a new version:
